I have a similiar story to what spamwise said. I had heard good things of this pioneer of progressive metal so I just bought the album at a local store. Not everything here strikes me, but the albums has some great tracks, especially the opener "Queen of Reich". If you are used to the high vocals which were in some fashion in the 80s, you'll like the singer too. To me, his performances vary from fantastic to slightly irritating.
Nevertheless, a good collection of songs, but I think you'd be better off getting one of their best albums. "Operation Mindcrime" for example. |
