This album completely turned me onto hardcore in the first place. everything about it is intense, aggressive, and positively raw. it is one of the most important releases in music, period.

i doubt anyone has this, but if you do, you might agree with me, if youre an AWK fan, that its so awesome.
its like his swan song of sorts. it has so many dimensions to it that you cannot really have any expectation on what your going to hear.
it begins with the straightforward songs you expect from him.
it has the age old heavy anthem party songs, but it hits into, dare i say it, deeper issues than partying and so on as you go deeper into the album.
it has some otherwise useless short transition songs.
but other than that, this album is an AWK fans dream.
it is extremely catchy, and you should find it wherever you can, because it is totally worth it.
Andy McKee Art of Motion
This is one of the best "kick back and relax" Acoustic albums i've ever heard. it makes me want to pick up an acoustic guitar, but then i realize that no matter how much i try, ill never get this good, so i'll leave it to Mr. McKee to make my ears happy from now on.

Every bit aggressive as it is intelligent, The Joyous Collapse hits your mind and ears in waves of hardcore fury and spitfire lyricism rivaled by no one. Just think Shai Hulud mixed with a rap minded lyrical flow.

they lost some of their wacky edge, musically, that was displayed in "Bloodsongs", for a cleaner, easier to dance to arrangement of songs. It is still a really enjoyable album to listen to, and i suggest you give it a spin or two, if you can find it anywhere, that is.

The Coalesce influence is very apparent on this, but they take it into a more atmospheric zone with a lot of the fretwork throughout. It has that stop-start chaos that many enjoy, and it also has very punchy chords that they draw out and repeat for maximum effectiveness and mood.
I absolutely love the drumming in this album. it hits hard, all while standing out amongst the flow of the songs. It's a very fresh approach given to the pick-and-choose stagnancy coming from many bands in 'metalcore'. it is the highlight of the whole album, in my opinion.
I like the vocals as well. They are more or less your standard harsh vocals, but every word is intelligible and forceful at the same time.

Most complain about the vocals ruining this album, but i think the vocals make this album more accessible, and for what its worth a much more enjoyable album than Caitiff Choir. the music is still solid, but 1 facet of the whole has soured 15 year old fans for years.
oh no, no Br00t4l vocals. soo many are let down instantly...

The Audition Great Danger
The Audition definitely rebound from their last release, patching up what tended to be lacking from "Self-Titled Album", and mature in terms of lyrical and stylistic approach with this release in the process.
Maintaining their honed catchy pop punk styling, they incorporate a higher sense of awareness to their musicianship, to give you a hook vocally, and a riff or two just as memorable to match it.
This release might not change your opinion of them if you don't like them already, but this is easily their second best release behind 'Controversy Loves Company'.
My only real gripe about this album is Danny's Falsetto. He's done it plenty in the other album's, it's not bad in the slightest, but it just sticks out on here to me to not really find its place, or seems forced. He has a great voice without having to use a falsetto, and it sorta sours the power and catchy-ness his voice has.
Other than that, im happy with this.

Its more of what ive come to like about them, and ive been hooked on their last 2 albums for quite some time. this is an "aquired taste" album, that i would feel appeals more towards the "already fans" crowd, than the "just heard about them and this new album is all i have by them" crowd. the only downside is that it hasnt really done anything new for a genre of overdone "dance-pop"
