5.0 classic
Akira Yamaoka Silent Hill 2
The moodiest game ever and the moodiest soundtrack ever. "Theme of Laura" and "Promise" are absolutely stellar songs in their own right.
Brand New The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me
One of those albums that sound average at first, but each and every listen connects more and more. Or not. If it does, it never lets go.
Nirvana Nevermind
Overplayed? Yes. Overrated? No. And that's that.

Yeah, the lyrics can be bad, and it was overplayed to hell and beyond, and it turned the band's career to a wrong direction. All this doesn't change the fact that this is a stellar piece of work.

Of course, one could argue that it's impossible to find the line between inspiration and
plagiarism in popular music. But making a sub-par American Idiot three years after is a
bit too much to digest. Alright, some of the songs are not half bad ("With Me" can
actually seem pretty touching) but when you hear "The Jester" and MCR's "House of Wolves"
back to back you can only shake your head in silent disapproval. Or when you see how the
first two songs are half-assed attempts at remaking the opening duo of the aforementioned
AI, both musically and lyrically. I mean seriously. And for the lyrics... Let's just put
this one aside. No more politics for you guys, never ever.

Bonus points substracted for pissing on Chuck. It really seemed to be the good direction,
was only half as derivative as this and twice as fun.
