it's not another ugly organ and nowhere near a domestica, but it's definitely a cursive album, and it's definitely worthy of being called one of their best

First Listen : appalled at the new singsong style; wtf Weiss you took everything good about mewithoutYou and threw it away for your crazed sunday school singalongs
Second Listen: heard the lyrics again; Weiss, you sneaky trickster, you took all those lyrics you had for all those sad songs and put them to happy music! But, still, all these repetitive parts, and all these crazy pop structures? This just isn't you my man, I dunno if I can dig this.
Third Listen: HOLY SHIT WEISS, YOU TOOK EVERYTHING POIGNANT AND POWERFUL ABOUT MWY AND MADE IT HAPPY! THIS RECORD IS EVERYTHING YOU'VE EVER DONE, JUST WITHOUT BEING DEPRESSED!
In other words, it's really, really, really excellent.
and fuck the haters for the Christian allusions. He's Christian. Did you really not expect it?
