5.0 classic
Coheed and Cambria In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3
Disillusion Back to Times of Splendor
Can only say that this is one of the best metal albums i have. It mixes clean with heavy vocals, techinical guitar play with soft accustic, it's emotional in the same way heavy and catchy. Im sure the choruses and the melodies will be in your head for along time to come. From the first track to the last it's a ride no metal fans wants to miss. Shame so few have heard of it, because the quality of this album is rarely found elsewhere. Classic!

4.5 superb
Bon Iver For Emma, Forever Ago

4.0 excellent
Amon Amarth Twilight of the Thunder God
Haven't really been a fan of these guys, so i wasn't expecting much from this. But after just hearing the first track I felt like this could become something really interesting. Im abit suprised how good the riffs are on this album. It brings a new level of "catchiness" which i haven't heard from Amon Amarth before. Conclusion: One of the better metal albums of 2008 so far and Im satisfied to have find an Amon album that I really like.
As Cities Burn Hell or High Water

3.5 great
Emery ...In Shallow Seas We Sail

2.0 poor
Adept Another Year of Disaster
Children of Bodom Blooddrunk
Slipknot All Hope Is Gone
This is not a blend of Vol.3 and Iowa. It's a blend of Slipknot trying to go back to their roots and Stone Sour. Dead Memories etc, reminds me more of nickelback to be honest. And what's up with Guitar solos in Slipknot?? This was Slipknots chance to prove that they are a world class metal band, and they are far from it. Still some songs are decent, Gematria is one of them.
