| Just insane. Dir en grey have always been one of my favourite bands out there, but they've completely outdone themselves with DUM SPIRO SPERO. Even in it's quiet moments, this is one of the darkest, heaviest, most unsettling albums I've ever heard. Really just a masterpiece. |

| I was worried from Mantra that this would be like That's The Spirit but way worse. Instead, it feels like much more of a refinement of what they were shooting for then, with a lot more big pop hooks and some good atmospheric electronic pieces. Aside from Mantra and Heavy Metal this record feels like a big step up from their last. |
