A Lot Like Birds DIVISI
Holy shit! Good stuff. Really feels like a grower, but there's some immediate songs that stand out. The bass surprisingly steals the show here on a lot of tracks. Not a huge fan of the filler spoken word (though I know that was an ALLB staple)
Anciients Voice of the Void
Angels and Airwaves The Dream Walker
Banks Goddess
Circa Survive Blue Sky Noise
Icarus the Owl Icarus the Owl
While more technical than their last album, many songs begin to run together in the second
half, and a lot of melody is lost in the name of guitar noodling and insane drumming. It's
still great, but don't expect LA,L pt II. For a better experience, listen with
speakers/headphones that can punch out the bass, because the rhythm section here is
delicious.
Icarus the Owl Pilot Waves
Definitely their tightest and most varied. Awesome.

Amazing. Heavy but so melodic and atmospheric. Gorgeous melodies. Their best work.

Might be their best, but I need to process this more! Frozen One is my favorite I think.

This is kind of wonderful and I'm curious as to why nobody's reviewed it yet on here

If Leviathan-era riffs and CTS-quality-songwriting had a baby. With nonstandard song structures.
And it's their most technical and catchy to date. How did they pull this off?!

Wow. A grower. Production is very detailed and reveals lots of details on repeat listens. Neat
little project. Missing some of the bigger hooks and special moments, but stands well enough on
its own. I'd have loved to have seen Hexes re-imagined too.
The Contortionist Clairvoyant
To paraphrase a messy quasi-review I posted elsewhere...By the best of definitions, it's a grower. rThere's immediacy and melody that strikes you right off the bat, but you will begin to appreciate rit a lot more as you re-listen. There's such an attention to detail to every passing second on rhere. The walls of sound are massive. Enveloping and lovely, not oppressive and loud. Textured and rlayered. Built with care, and progressive over the course of each song. No single band member is rgiven more time to shine than the other. They all have found a way to play together with unity and rmutual respect. Easily one of the most heartfelt and passionate pieces of music I've heard in many ryears.

Gorgeous. Dan is always a treat on vocals, passionate or restrained when it's called for, and the
production is lovely -- so rich and detailed! The tone of the synths here are perfect. Catchy as
hell too. If a....nu-metal....?...-sounding interlude in an earlier track is the price we pay for
what the remainder of the album, then that's fine by me. Elysian Fields, Fires in the Snow,
Causeway, and Chemical Zone are the standouts so far.

So I just heard a lot of this played live. The atmosphere and progginess of Terraria with lots of appropriate heaviness and melody without going full-cheese.

Saosin Along the Shadow
It's streaming and leaked, fellas. Pretty solid so far. Some songs sound samey. Probably a grower.

Orbs Past Life Regression
The Faceless In Becoming a Ghost
Deeply flawed and steeped in drama, but Autotheism it is not. Surprisingly experimental, at the
expense of consistency and flow. It's too scatterbrained to enjoy all the way through. A bizarre
cover song, two interstitial tracks with cringe-worthy spoken word, a lazy instrumental, and two
songs we heard years ago. Swing and a miss.

One of the most forgettable albums I've ever heard. They're technically proficient, but the songs are so unmemorable-written. Not a single "standout" track. Also, the members created dummy accounts to 5-star their own album, so that's pretty sad too.
