Andrew Bird Break It Yourself
Arcade Fire Funeral
The only reason why I decided to listen to this band was because after reading all the hype on this website about this band I decided I had to check them out. Usually when anything is massively hyped I think that it is going to be great, then I end up listening to the hyped album, then contemplate why the said album is receiving so much praise. This was not the case for Funeral. Every song has its own distinct identity with melodies and vocals that send shivers down my spine. The album begins brilliantly with Tunnels and does not skip a beat until the phenomenal closer, In the Back Seat. There really isn't a bad song on here and most of the songs are flat out amazing. Songs like Wake up, Power Out, and Crown of Love really stand out for me along with the opener and closer.

Flawless. I started off by giving them a 4. Then after a couple months I gave this album a 4.5. After a year of listening to this album i realized that there is not a dull moment. Darroh Suddereth is emerging as one of the most talented vocalists IMO. I am eagerly awaiting their next album and if my expectations are met then FTM will be one of the best bands today

Language was an excellent album, but what held it back from being one of their best albums was it
had this feeling of restraint. It felt like it was going to make a leap or bound into greatness,
but it held back. With Clairvoyant we see their ideas in full force without any hindrance. It
seems as if the band has finally found their place with Lessard on vocals and they found the
perfect music to complement him. The Contortionist reach new heights and release their best album
to date.

This was actually surprisingly good. Definitely their best release to date considering their past efforts. They were quite mediocre. The singer still sounds like a bitch and is what drags down the music for me. Guitars improved very much so compared to their other stuff and I hope they continue to progress into something better.

Dear and the Headlights Drunk Like Bible Times
Dear and the Headlights follow up their brilliant debut with an album filled with anthemic singing and an overall more fun feel, but it sacrifices some quality in the process. There aren't any songs on here that really stand out to me, but I don't really dislike any of the songs either. It was nice to listen to just not nearly as much as its predecessor.
