4.5 superb
Aeternam Ruins of Empires
Hideous Divinity Adveniens
Mechina Progenitor
This is by far the best sounding, catchiest, and most mature Mechina record yet. I am blown away by how good this is. Besides Empyrean, I only liked a few songs from each of their other albums. Most of their songs seemed to blend together without much variety, but not on this record. I am so glad I took the time to listen to this because it is fucking awesome!
Mercenary Through Our Darkest Days
Paradise Lost Symbol Of Life
Pyramaze Disciples of the Sun
This is one of the best records I have heard so far this year. The vocalist is amazing too.
Scar Symmetry The Singularity - Phase I: Neohumanity
Solution .45 For Aeons Past

4.0 excellent
Amorphis Circle
The songs I've heard so far are fucking awesome! I love this shit. Such a surprise after their last album.
Decaying Days Fire of a Thousand Suns
Awesome debut album! The guitars remind me of old Paradise Lost mixed with Dark Tranquillity and Insomnium. If you like melodic death metal, give these guys a try. The entire album is great. Check out the songs Waves of Neglect, Empty World, Stargazers, and Eye of the Storm.
Divine Ascension Liberator
Eternal Storm A Giant Bound to Fall
Godsmack 1000hp
First of all, I hate the first single 1000HP with a passion. I think it's the worst Godsmack song in their entire catalog. Another song off the new album that I can't even listen to is Locked and Loaded, which is another one about Nikki Sixx. The lyrics to both songs are generic as hell and just unlistenable to me. Surprisingly, I think the other 8 songs are pretty damn solid. The album continues to grow on me the more I listen to it. Overall, I think the best songs on the album are Something Different, Generation Day, What's Next, Living in the Gray, and I Don't Belong. I will definitely be picking this one up.
James LaBrie Impermanent Resonance
I really like this album and it is catchy hell. The only song I don't care for is Back on the Ground because of its cheesy lyrics and its potential to be played in elevators and supermarkets.
Solution .45 Nightmares in the Waking State, Pt. 2
I found myself liking part 2 better than part 1. My favorite tracks off of part 2 are What Turns the Wheels, Misery Mantra, Built on Sand, and Inescapable Dream. Although both albums were recorded at the same time, Part 2 has a more melodic and experimental feel to it. I'm surprised that neither single was posted on this site. I haven't even seen a review yet. It seems like nobody on Sputnik even knows this came out. Great album in my opinion though.
Threat Signal Disconnect
Toothgrinder Phantom Amour

3.5 great
Black Therapy Echoes of Dying Memories
Solid Melodeath album. nothing more, nothing less.
Laments of Silence System Failure
Solution .45 Nightmares In The Waking State Pt. 1
Not as good as For Aeons Past, but there are still some pretty damn good songs on this album. Bleed Heavens Dry, Winning Where Losing is All, Second to None, I Nemesis, and Perfecting the Void are all equally as good as anything from the first album.

3.0 good
Shores of Null Black Drapes For Tomorrow
Pretty good album overall, but these guys are capable of so much more. Especially with one of the best vocalists I have heard in a long time. The vocals on their first album were more memorable and diverse than on this one. Hopefully they will blow me away with their third album.

2.5 average
In Flames Siren Charms

1.5 very poor
Godsmack Lighting Up the Sky
Easily their worst album. So bland and boring. You and I and Surrender are the only two songs I like. When Legends Rise was superior to this.
