This album has some of the best As I Lay Dying I've EVER heard. This album just shows that some bands CAN get better over time instead of just getting worse and worse...(I'm lookin' at you TFOT, R.I.P.) Tim has finally found a way to keep me from going "HOLY SHIT!!! Clear your throat and stop doing the SAME monotone growls!!!!", and that's enough to call this album a success already IMO.

This is one of the albums that's songs come on in between bands that I really enjoy (Pinback, Circle takes the Square, La Dispute) and I don't skip to try and get to the next song.
The funky sounds mixed with the hip vocals really make them enjoyable, but I would be weary of saying that to put this album on repeat would QUICKLY cause it to lose appeal (Unlike Fall of Troy's Doppleganger and Circle Takes The Square's EP).
Just put your tunes on shuffle and wait for a CTE song to randomly come up, listen to it, and let your music player take you to another band.

The Devil Wears Prada Zombie
TDWP has been my definition of "by-the-books" generic scene band for many years now. This album, while still "scene-y" and I'm sure all the little scene kids in my town will be BLARING Revive or Escape, was non-the-less enjoyable. Yes, I said enjoyable. The topic of a Zombie Apocalypse made into a concept album is fresh (kind of...). Although I still think that Greeley Estate's "Blue Morning" is the best Zombie song of all time.
