Listened to this album a lot last year, it's really great folk metal. The whole thing is well arranged.

Windir Det Gamle Riket
Det Gamle Riket is a great addition to Windir's discography. The album begins with Morkrets Fyrste, which features a lot more shrieked vocals than all the songs from Sogneriket. Morkrets Fyrste features one of the most amazing riffs I've ever heard, repeated for quite a while. I would usually get bored of this, but the riff is just that good. Track 2, Sognarikets Herskarinne, has some really nice clean vocals, and an equally amazing riff. I can feel modern Windir in the Demo, it's much more mature than Sogneriket. I'm not going to go over the rest of the tracks. The Demo features layered guitars, for the first time. The last track is a copy from Sogneriket, and still a great track. I enjoyed this album, and believe it is one of the first modern Black Metal albums made. Truly impressive.

Wulfgar Midgardian Metal
Sounds like a fine mix of Amon Amarth with Doom Metal elements. Not too great, not too bad.
