I wouldn't call myself a thrasher because I only listen to a few select thrash bands. However, I listened to these guys before and recently decided to buy their debut. After giving it 2 1/2 listens, I can call this a solid thrash album. This album has a Slayer-type sound to it and is very enjoyable, but it's just too repetitive. Many other people have said it before me, and I have the same opinion. The depth to each song is there, but all the songs SOUND THE SAME. For me, the better half of the songs are Enter the Grave, Thrasher, Man Against Machine, We Who Are About to Die, and Schizophrenia. I'll give it a 3.0 for its great and thrashy effort, but it doesn't stand out as an album for me. |
