5.0 classic
Against Me! Reinventing Axl Rose
Contains some of the best ever punk anthems to drunkenly (or soberly) chant along to. All of these songs are fantastic when played live. Against Me have never topped this.
Brand New Deja Entendu
I've always enjoyed this a bit more than TDAGARIM, it's slightly catchier and contains some acoustic gems. This is the album that introduced me to this fantastic band.
Defeater Empty Days and Sleepless Nights
Frightened Rabbit The Midnight Organ Fight
This is a really special album to me, I love every single song, from the triumphantly uplifting 'Modern Leper' to the beautifully unique scottish-style melancholy of 'Poke'. It's all perfect to me.
Manchester Orchestra Mean Everything to Nothing
Murder by Death Red Of Tooth And Claw
An absolute masterpiece, Adam Turla's vocals at their best. This band are not only brilliant musicians, but masterful storytellers, listening to this in it's entirety is an epic experience. 'Spring Break 1899' is probably one of my favourite songs.
Muse Origin of Symmetry
Norma Jean Wrongdoers
Protest the Hero Kezia
Rage Against the Machine Rage Against the Machine
Without a doubt one of the most important and groundbreaking records ever.
Say Anything ...Is a Real Boy
Before I heard this album, I wrote Say Antyhing off to be just another generic and cheesy pop-punk band. Little did I know it would become one of my favourite albums. Bemis's honest, blunt and witty lyricism is second to none. It's fun and full of emotion. Quality.
System of a Down Toxicity
The Chariot Long Live
Without a doubt the heaviest and most chaotic album i've 5'd, this blew me away. This band can convey gritty, raw emotion like no other. Each song is wildly unpredictable yet enjoyable (Listener's mad-preacher-like verse in 'David De La Hoz' is awesome').

The Black Dahlia Murder Miasma
The Black Dahlia Murder Nocturnal
The Chariot One Wing
Without a doubt, this is a masterpiece, The Chariot are the most innovative, intelligent and exciting bands
around today. I had goosebumps throughout this album's all-too-short exhilarating first listen. If I hadn't
have heard the Charlie Chaplin speech 1000 times before and become tired of it, I probably would've 5'd this
album, I know this is a personal issue, but the fact that speech has lost it's epicness on me was a real deal
breaker.

Saw him on Jools Holland on the BBC, absolutely blown away by 'Evenings Kiss' live
(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IEePxV_UJFA). This guy is a phenomenal singer, truly talented and
conveys his emotion brilliantly in his live performances. It is such a shame that this album sounds like it was
recorded on a half-broken tape recorder, i'm not sure if he was trying to be super indie, or whether he
couldn't afford any form of production, but i'm hoping he will re-record it all so it doesn't sound like ass.

One of the most irritating vocalists i've heard in a long time.
From First to Last Heroine
A few years after 'Dear Diary...', it seemed liked sonny's heart wasn't in the band anymore. His vocals are weak on this album, and it seemed like they made a last ditch attempt to diversify themselves with slower tracks like 'Goodbye Waves'. But this falls flat.
Glass Bones Seasons
Hoodie Allen All American
Joy Division Unknown Pleasures
I've listened to this twice now, believe me, the amount of hype this album has got has made me want to like
it. But to be completely honest, I think it's awful, I think Joy Division are awful. Ian Curtis was a shocking
singer, and could not hit a note. The production was dreadful; drums sound weak and tinny, the guitars
sound terribly out of tune. The lyrics themselves are somewhat commendable, but their delivery by curtis is
painfully boring and uninspiring; he sounds like my dad singing kareoke at a bar. I honestly don't understand
it. This is an incredibly unpopular opinion to have on this site, and it's funny how many people have flamed
me for holding these views. But i've tried to like it guys, I'm just telling it how I see it. Don't cry if this opinion
infuriates you. Ian Curtis is not a musical matyr, he was a privaliged little rich boy who probably had a
serious case of untreated bipolar.
Joy Division The Best of Joy Division
Anybody that likes Joy Division is delusional, it's badly recorded, terribly produced, laughably lame and mind rnumbingly boring. I honestly can't see the appeal of such nonsense. Utter garbage. Ian Curtis was not your rmatyr.
