A Sunny Day in Glasgow Ashes Grammar
Amazing creative and infectious. I really want this band to become big someday, they've shown an INSANE amount of potential with this album alone.
After Forever After Forever
Agalloch Ashes Against the Grain
Akira Yamaoka Silent Hill 2
I feel that the track "Bark!" captures the atmosphere of this game quite well. It has plenty
of underlying tones and deep hidden meaning to keep the listener enthralled throughout it's
2 minute run-time.

In all seriousness though, this is masterfully executed beyond belief. Probably my favorite video game soundtrack ever.
Alice in Chains Dirt
American Football American Football

Wow, people sure do love to hate this album on here. Why? Because it's more accessible? Too

Boards of Canada Music Has the Right to Children
An alternately mesmerizing and disorienting masterpiece, Boards of Canada achieved perfection with this LSD-tinged dreamscape of paranoid nostalgia. I'm convinced that not much can likely ever top this, and anyone who enjoys electronic music in general that hasn't already been acquainted with this album needs to give repeated listens immediately.

Cocteau Twins Treasure
Cocteau Twins made some of the most gorgeous and creative music ever, and this album is one of the most original things I've heard in all of my life. This and Heaven or Las Vegas are both masterpieces in my opinion.

Elder (USA-MA) Lore
Should've been on the top 50 albums of 2015. Beautiful, atmospheric, transcendent metal album that, despite repeated listens, has only improved with time for me, even beats "Purple" for metal album of the year imho (as amazing as that is as well)

Eminem The Marshall Mathers LP
Emperor In the Nightside Eclipse
Emperor Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk
Faith No More Angel Dust

Prog perfection encapsulated in one 26 minute long song. The rest of the album is amazing as well, but the final track is the absolute masterpiece that truly makes the album worth listening to.
Fugazi The Argument
Gal Costa Gal Costa
Gamma Ray Land of the Free
Gamma Ray Somewhere Out in Space
Slightly better than Land of the Free, imho. More memorable for me, and the guitar work is upgraded from the last.

There's not much better than this, when it comes to the tropicalia movement, and even baroque pop music in general.

Came back to this thinking it would have lost lasting power with me; quite the opposite actually. It's even better than I remembered! This was when Sepultura switched to a more slow-tempo, tribal-meets-crushing-heaviness style, and I can honestly say that this is one of the heaviest metal albums I've ever heard.
Sepultura Beneath the Remains
Shpongle Tales of the Inexpressible
Easily one of the greatest albums ever produced, period. Not to mention, also crafted by easily one of the greatest musical groups ever... PERIOD. Not even just within the realm of electronic music, but all music in general (in my humble opinion, at least). Practically flawless.
Shpongle Nothing Lasts... But Nothing Is Lost
Shpongle Ineffable Mysteries from Shpongleland
Sigur Ros Heima (DVD)
Sigur Ros Agætis byrjun
In my top 10 albums ever. Seriously, this record is one of the most utterly beautiful experiences I've ever had the pleasure of listening to. Not quite sure how anyone couldn't like this album. It's simply glorious.
Sigur Ros Takk...
Better than ( ) and pretty much their best album besides Agaetis Byrjun. I don't think I could think of happier or more nostalgically beautiful music if I tried.

Swans Children of God
Swans The Great Annihilator
I've finally chosen to start listening to Swans' albums. This was the first, and I have to say, I'm extremely impressed. Very much variation and the melodic sensibilities are surprisingly plenty, despite the supposed acquired taste that the band demands for some.

doesn't get enough credit.

EDIT: Maybe not as good, but still worth your time. Their newest full-length album is
better.

I understand the 3.5's this is receiving. I also understand the 4.5's. A little bit of a disappointment to begin with, but honestly, it's still nearly as fun as almost all of their other material. Maybe not as satisfying in all ways, but still just as worthy.

Kamelot Silverthorn
Despite my disinterest in general power metal as of late, Kamelot have proven that they are rstill one of the best in the business. This is better than Ghost Opera, Poetry, and even rThe Fourth Legacy (In my humble opinion, and that record has some of my favorites by them), but obviously not quite as good as The Black Halo or Epica. rEither way, excited to see them tomorrow! Tommy will certainly rock it!

A little overrated compared to their later stuff. Honestly sounds more derivative of neo-classical oriented power metal than some of these other descriptions to me. Doesn't mean it's not still fantastic overall, though, I just prefer their days with an actual orchestra backing them.
