First impression is that it's disappointing. The band overshot themselves and give the impression that they don't know whether to go punk or to stay hardcore, there are certainly some hardcore moments in the album but there are also so pop punky moments too, and most of the pop punky moments are painfully bad. The separation between hardcore and punk on this album is too stark and therefore doesn't make it nearly as enjoyable or cohesive as their previous releases. The Kids We Used To Be and Ignorance Never Dies blow this album out the water. |
