Eric Clapton Crossroads
This is as complete a retrospective of Eric Clapton can get. It covers his Yardbirds, John Mayall
& the Bluesbreakears, Cream and solo periods up to 1988 on 4 Discs. It also includes some
rarities. All of this comes in an impressive package containing a booklet with an essay on
Clapton's career with complete lyrics of all songs. Being new to Clapton this release is perfect.
It's the perfect introduction to his work as it gives you a great overview of what he stands for.

This album has a nice variety of songs that range from pop to alternative and is catchy as hell. Lights' vocals are the best they have ever been and every song has nice sonic textures and layers that keep the listener coming back. People who give this 1 or lower are definately tone deaf. Highlights: Skydiving, Almost Had Me, Morphine and Savage are amongst her best ever.

despite the awesome riffs and dueling guitar frenzy he is the M.V.P here. Lots of tracks to love

Badflower OK, I’M SICK
Been listening to this for the past days, and the vocals and vocal lines are at times reminiscent of My Chemical Romance and Alkaline Trio. The music is quite diversified and doesn't fit one style in particular and there is always a sense of urgency and a lot of passion in the delivery. They tackle a lot of dark subjects in their songs in a pretty direct manner and I've got a feeling a lot of people will identify to them. rMy only question is, how can a song like "Daddy" that deals with such a dark subject be so damn catchy ?
Bayside Cult
Bayside Vacancy
Bayside Interrobang
This album rocks hard. The band mixes punk with hard-rock and even some hints of metal. Prayer,
White Flag and Bury Me have some of the best guitar riffs and licks. Tight song writing, a sense
of urgency and awesome guitar work makes this their most consistent album.

Really love this album. It showcases Jimmy Eat World's more upbeat side. I still prefer Integrity Blues' moodier songs but at the same time, I like the change-up. Their last two albums are some kind of a resurgence for the band especially with how very average Damage and Invented were.

Moist Creature
Moist Glory Under Dangerous Skies
A cross between "Silver" and "Creature" with a harder rock edge. This is the heaviest the band has
ever sounded and it's greatly due to Mark Makoway's great guitar work. Guitar has never been as
prominent on a Moist release than it has on "Glory Under Dangerous Skies". This is a great return
for Moist in which they successfully crafted a great catchy rock album that will surely please
guitar oriented rock fans.Highlights: Mechanical, Black Roses, Morning Dies Here, Still I Won't

This is basically their first release, with 3 extra songs that have been released via youtube. Still as great as it was when first released and a little extra for late to the party listeners like me. Love their electronic/pop sound and Lyn's voice, although it reminds Paramore's Hayley Williams, is a great asset to the band.

Great mixture of their past and present styles of music. The vocal play of the twins have been
upped and sound as catchy as ever and the lyrics are very poignant especially on songs like "Don't
Believe The Things They Tell You(They Lie)" and "All I Have To Give The World Is Me"
The Cranberries Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We?
The Cranberries Something Else
That acoustic version of Zombie is astonishing!just wish they had taken more rock oriented tracks such as Promises, Salvation and I Can't Be with you for their accoustic approach. They would have seen more of a change than on most of the selected tracks who are too well suited for acoustics.
The Gaslight Anthem Sink or Swim
The Gaslight Anthem American Slang
The Gaslight Anthem Get Hurt
The Gaslight Anthem History Books
History Books is greater than what I was expecting after a 9 year Hiatus. An all around great listen. Love Alex's leads and solos they are so melodic yet so earnest. I can so relate to Positive Charge's lyrics that the song made me tear up so bad. It's a little bit of everything fans of the band love.

Ulcerate Stare Into Death and Be Still
Not usually a fan of Technical Death Metal, but on this album Ulcerate were able to create
a dark moody atmosphere I really love. The harshness of the technical death is still there
but they allow it to breath within that atmosphere. If you're like me and you like bands
like Swallow The Sun, Draconian, Daylight Dies, Novembers Doom, My Dying Bride. You might
get something out of this album. Yes it has harsher vocals and more brutal passages but at
the same time Ulcerate were able to create an extremely satisfying atmosphere that should
please people who have a penchant for a dark moody dissonant sound.

Alissa's talent is used slightly more, But Loomis is still criminally underused. They could be so
much better if they tapped the talent of all band members. Alissa has more to give and Loomis even
more. The new record is better than the previous, but it gets old pretty quick.
Architects Holy Hell
Pretty generic, sound is reminescent of As I Lay Dying. What puts them above average is their flawless execution and the palpable emotion they injected in their songs.

Well executed run of the mill pop punk with influences of Blink 182, Jimmy Eat World, Saves The

work to do on their song craft.

a step down from their two previous albums but still a fun listen nevertheless.rGone are the
electro-rock days, this a full on pop record. To me it's a little less interesting because I
really liked when the guitars were a lot more present, but overall, it's well executed and the
music contains many interesting hooks. This is much better than that boring Hayley Williams solo
album released earlier this year.

Kamelot Siege Perilous
Knuckle Puck Shapeshifter
Kind of bummed out by this album. It still sounds like run of the mill pop-punk with the exception of one or two tracks that really stand out towards the end of the album. This sounds too much like their first release, the mix and production is average and it's like the band stopped progressing. If you like this style of music, The Hotelier is where it's at. So much better than this.

Goo Goo Dolls Magnetic
Goo Goo Dolls Boxes
Goo Goo Dolls Miracle Pill
This screams "We want to be modern" way too hard. Barely sounds like the Goo Goo Dolls. I'll give
this a pass on the strength of songs like "Incredible" and "Think it Over", both would fair well
amongst their best songs.
Guns N' Roses The Spaghetti Incident?
Hayley Williams Petals for Armor
This sounds like pop without any real hooks and Haley's tendency to sing the title of the songs ad nauseam is grating.

The tracks included here are all good but the irony is that this compilation is missing some of
their "iconic" tracks such as "Fire In The Head", "Heaven Coming Down", "Babylon" and "Release".
"Angels", "Halcyon Days" and "Walking Wounded" could also have been easily added. As of 2016,
Tangents is still a much more satisfying collection.

I have no patience for artists that are reduced to imitators like it is the case here. Travis Barker being on this album makes it even worse. This simply sounds like a Blink 182 knockoff. No originality whatsoever here. If thats your thing you'll be lapping this record up. Otherwise, move along nothing wirth your while here
Maroon 5 V
OneRepublic Oh My My
Opeth Sorceress
The vocals are too low in the mix and this album couldn't be more bland. Totally lacks dynamics, but on the bright side, it's the perfect remedy for people who suffer from insomnia.
Our Lady Peace Spiritual Machines II
This album has nothing in common with it's predecessor Spiritual Machines. Not even much of a concept album either. It feels like an attempt at getting old fans back on board, but fails miserably. It will take amiracle to bring this band back in my good graces, they haven't done anything remotely interesting in the past 20 years
