| Been listening to this for the past days, and the vocals and vocal lines are at times reminiscent of My Chemical Romance and Alkaline Trio. The music is quite diversified and doesn't fit one style in particular and there is always a sense of urgency and a lot of passion in the delivery. They tackle a lot of dark subjects in their songs in a pretty direct manner and I've got a feeling a lot of people will identify to them. rMy only question is, how can a song like "Daddy" that deals with such a dark subject be so damn catchy ? |

Not usually a fan of Technical Death Metal, but on this album Ulcerate were able to create
a dark moody atmosphere I really love. The harshness of the technical death is still there
but they allow it to breath within that atmosphere. If you're like me and you like bands
like Swallow The Sun, Draconian, Daylight Dies, Novembers Doom, My Dying Bride. You might
get something out of this album. Yes it has harsher vocals and more brutal passages but at
the same time Ulcerate were able to create an extremely satisfying atmosphere that should
please people who have a penchant for a dark moody dissonant sound. |

| I don't get the hate this album gets by some. It sounds like pop/punk/metal hybrid with influences of "The Cure" and "Depeche Mode" which I find quite interesting. I really like the changes the band has gone through, they have a great sound and nice guitar riffs and licks. |

| Kind of bummed out by this album. It still sounds like run of the mill pop-punk with the exception of one or two tracks that really stand out towards the end of the album. This sounds too much like their first release, the mix and production is average and it's like the band stopped progressing. If you like this style of music, The Hotelier is where it's at. So much better than this. |
