This album isn't as accessible as their others. It's more experimental, more drone, more white noise cacophonies. It's taken a good year or so for this to really grow on me, but wow. It's superb, so detailed and as intricate as its predecessor. Some really great tracks here. It's a tripper.
Spiritualized Live From Royal Albert Hall
This album is awesome. This was one high budget live show, haha. An amazingly paced, intricate and lush
album that covers all spectrums of the Spiritualized sound palette. Honestly, I think this album is as good if
not almost better than much of their studio albums. The 10 minute long, and very alternate version of "I think
I'm In Love" is just.... beautiful. One of their best songs in my opinion. Love it.

HELL YES! Great riffs, sounds lovely, dark and slow but in some parts energetic. Harks back
to, and pays respectful homage, to Sabbath whilst making the most of the more modern
elements stoner doom. If the riffs were more fuzzed it'd be so good.

Wicked stoner rock and some doomy basslines. I got into this and had a good time, but I felt like it had more potential than what it delivered. Sections felt like they were building to something epic, but fizzled out, or just wasnt heavy enough. Still, solid record. Great album art too,

Having listened to all the later releases before this one, I was really surprised by the way it sounds. Much more polished sounding production, less distorted guitars, and clean vocals. All this said, it's still heavy as f***, just the way it should be. Also interesting to see the band once forayed into more ambient psychedelic sounds like evident on 'Mountains of Mars'. Very nice album.

Found this gem at a thrift store. It's surprisingly good. I don't really listen to pop very much, but this has some weight to it. Staying true to their own unique psychedelia but always venturing into new ground and exploring new sounds. I remember at the release of Hobo Rocket they said that their next release would sound like 'O Dharma' and they meant it. This album is more upbeat, more whimsical and very trippy. Very groovy, and fitting to be released right in the middle of the furious Aussie summer. Party time haha

Richard In Your Mind SUN
A little less experimental than it's predecessor, resulting in a much smoother and easier listen. They like to call themselves psychedelic or at least that way (very) inclined. My Volcano seemed like it was more of a stab at the novelty of what people perceive psychedelic music to be, whereas this one delves into a more truly psychedelic sound. ie, My Volcano 'sounds' trippy, but SUN is what you'd put under the needle if you were tripping. More longer, evolving songs that are elevating and sort of more meditative. It's still a bit poppy though, but in good measure and fun.
Richard In Your Mind My Volcano

Ben Lee Ayahuasca: Welcome To The Works
A change of face for Ben Lee. This album is excellent. An album that's as bright and energetic as it is
emotional and meditative. This album has such a delicate atmosphere that when you're listening to it through,
you can't imagine any other song to follow the one you just heard. The album plays with such delight and
ease. It flows so effortlessly that not a track is out of place or feels wrong. Ayahuasca: Welcome To The Works
is really quite beautiful. After all, it's inspired by ayahuasca, so go figure.

Blur The Great Escape
Bonobo The North Borders
Census of Hallucinations Spirit Of The Cat
This is such a weird album. Like, you can plainly see that there is some good musicianship, and
these people/person certainly know how to make some good psychedelic sounds. But goddamn,
all the good stuff gets debased by the ranting and carrying on of the singer. An angry monologue
about how he hates science? Weird album, but really worth a listen, lots of fun.

edit: And I thought it would be pertinent to add, in hopes that it will provide you an accurate feel
of this album, it has a section of psychedelic fart noises. LoL
Cloud Control Dream Cave
This album sounds a lot different to their first LP, but still very much Cloud Control. Dream Cave's sound is more layered, lush and atmospheric. A little more psychedelic. This album shows Cloud Control's more experimental side, and it's a welcome change I think. Very nice album.
