the vocals aren't really a problem, the music just doesn't flow at all, and since it's a concept album it bugs me that the moods don't match whatsoever

I agree with that a little bit, but there's no way I'll give this anything below a 3. I just dont think its that bad. To me this is like a sort of bland version of BiO.

to be honest what i've heard off of this isn't that bad really.

No definitely not bad, but its miles behind their other albums. Diagnosis Terminal is the only song that I would want to listen to over and over.

In between a 3 and 3.5 right now. I went with 3.5 just because I love this band.
I love this band too but you have to realize that this is incredibly weak by their standards...and anyone else's standards for that matter.

I'll probably be lowering this to a 3, but I do think its a good album. Weak, yes, but it's an enjoyable listen.

and is it just me or do the drums sound entirely electronic this time around? I know that the bass drum was fake last time but now all of it sounds fake.

the bass was fake last time? god, I wondered why the drums were terrible

I could never believe Into Eternity could produce a 1.5 out of 5. It's not possible. Even shit in a box would garner at least a 1 for being bold. Into Eternity is simply too talented to produce such a poor effort. I'll have to check this out.

No, based solely on the two tracks I've heard, "Diagnosis Terminal" and "Time Immemorial", a 1.5 is, more or less, bullshit.
Your review actually holds few valid points, sarcastically suggesting the album is an "excellent topic to headbang to".
Gee, yes, I often find myself headbanging to prog metal. When I'm in a moshing mood, I definitely pop in some Dream Theater or Circus Maximus.
And really, the vocals are not that bad. The growls are a league ahead of the endless seas of death metal bands the world shits out weekly. Very solid and deep. And his clean vocals are fairly good. I don't see the issue with them, you simply seem to not like them. I'd like to hear how you conclude whether or not death growls are "good"
This site gave the newest fucking Slipknot album a 2. The Incurable Tragedy could not possibly merit less.

No, the fact that you think you can accurately evaluate and grade an album based solely on two tracks out of twelve is bullshit.

Plus, those are the two best songs on the album. The first two songs, not including Prelude to Woe, are complete shit for the most part.

you're starting off well (ZooYorker6 touched base on this)

If you were fully literate, you would know why I sarcastically said that.

Wait are you being subjective about music right now? Who would've thought

What does that Slipknot review have to do with anything? I didn't review it.

It appears I've touched a nerve. Someone clearly does not like to have their opinions challenged.
I disagree with your review, and as has been mentioned earlier, it just seems like an angry rant. If your opinion actually held any value to me, your point-by-point dissection of my comment might have been painful. Attacking a persons apparent understanding of literacy for one is truly admirable.
Still, you have yet to humor me as to what you consider qualities of a "good" death growl?

i'm going to have to go with the new guy on this one and say that this album definetly deserves higher than a 1.5. I can understand though, this album is definetly not for everyone.

from your rating, it looks like this is almost as bad as st anger...
surely not, nothing could save that metal wreckage
