I'm sure this was a huge deal when it came out but now it's...

I mean I can see why people wouldn't like this now, "aged poorly" and that kinda stuff, but there's a raw charm and energy here that's captured that's not on any of Manson's other albums. I actually used to have this album at a 1.5 before my last comment saying this finally clicked for me, it's just gotten a lot better the more I listened to it.

Yeah I get it. A lot of people love Antichrist Superstar and that album bores me.

Yeah I feel the same as the peeps here saying its better than the first listen. Not that I ever disliked this but its shot up as right behind my two fave Manson albums (Holy Wood and Antichrist Superstar).

Wrapped In Plastic is the best song here imo and one of the most underrated Manson songs.

Great and informative review, as I haven’t listened any Merilyn Manson album in full.
I might as well start here and then go to the next one.
Edit:
On first listen, the album doesn’t amount to much.

This album is so fuckin fun. Feels like an in your face, tongue-in-cheek take on Dirt by Alice In Chains. Cyclops even mirrors Sickman really closely. Love the vocals on this as well. Miss this lower, more grungy take on Manson’s vocals. Probably one of my favorite Manson records, very underrated

I really like this album too, I really like Daisy Berkowitz at the guitar and I wish they had made at least another one like that before shifting to Indus Metal Antichrist.
