04.07.08 | #1's the album that got me into that band. Great, great stuff on there, different from everything else I'd heard from the band (which I didn't hate in the first place).
Avenged Sevenfold...have nothing against the band, the songs I've heard from them were pretty cool, it's just there hasn't been any impulse at all to grab a c.d. by them. Oh, well.
Haven't heard the rap c.d.'s, but I have great respect for Talib Kweli as an M.C. (based on the billions of guest spots he did on other people's songs and albums). If you haven't already (and you probably have), you might check out MF Doom (either DangerDoom or Viktor Vaughn) or Asheru if you like Talib. | Electric City
