| Albums That Defined My Childhood
I'll start with albums that my family used to play a lot, thus becoming personal favorites during my younger ryears. I'll do albums from my 5th-6th grade stage towards rthe end of the list. I'm stopping at when I was about r12, when music became an important part of my life. | 1 | | Backstreet Boys Backstreet Boys
Yep, pre-k for life. | 2 | | Backstreet Boys Millennium | 3 | | Backstreet Boys Black & Blue
The last album by these guys that I ever heard. To this day, I think these guys only have 3 albums. | 4 | | Creed My Own Prison
Awesome when I was 5, Awesome when I'm 16. | 5 | | Creed Human Clay
"Never Die" was probably the first song I ever considered to be 'my favorite song', I was like 5 or 6. | 6 | | Creed Weathered
"Bullets" was the first time I heard a heavy riff and said 'give me more metal!' | 7 | | Elton John Greatest Hits
For years, I thought he was saying "Witch Is Back" because that's what mommy told me. Wasn't
until maybe the 3rd grade when I discovered the horrible truth. | 8 | | Judas Priest Jugulator
I find it funny that the only Priest album my dad owned was one of their least popular ones. BURN
IN HELLLLLLLLLLLL!!!! | 9 | | Various Artists Twister: The Official Motion picture Soundtrack
The soundtrack to the 1996 blockbuster about tornadoes in Oklahoma. Van Halen + Deep Purple +
Crowbar + Camel + more. Great stuff, my favorite film of 3rd grade. | 10 | | Metallica Metallica
My first introduction to Metallica, which later became my favorite band in middle school / junior
high. Circa 3rd grade. | 11 | | 3 Doors Down The Better Life
It's pretty generic, but my family sure did love this album. KRYPTONITE | 12 | | Gorillaz Demon Days
This came out when I was in 3rd grade. Someone got me the full album with "Feel Good Inc" and
I've probably listened to the thing front to back about 100 times, mostly in the span of 2005-2007. | 13 | | Creedence Clearwater Revival Chronicle, Vol. 1
S Joe Wright played fullback for the University of Wyoming football when they went undefeated in
the early 60's and he fought for our country during Vietnam. After he returned, he opened up a
guitar shop where he still works today. He is grandpa. He is the man that showed me this CD. | 14 | | Metallica ...And Justice For All
My radio played "Blackened". It became the first song I bought on iTunes, and my life had changed. | 15 | | Metallica Kill 'Em All
People may diss Metallica for being a pussy band for kids. Maybe so, but this album is the
reason why I listen to Death, Atheist, Opeth, and more. Fuck y'all who hate Metallica for that
reason. | 16 | | Limp Bizkit Greatest Hitz
Hey, I was in 5th grade. Heavy guitars over one angry motherfucker. Sure it's a joke now, but LB was the shit in my youth. NOBODY UNDERSTANDS
MEEEEEEEE | 17 | | Sodom M-16
B-B-B-Bird bird bird, bird is the word | 18 | | Megadeth Peace Sells... but Who's Buying?
I was caught up in the "Metallica vs Megadeth" war and was extremely pro-Metallica. I remember
playing GTA:VC and I was listening to VRock. I heard a bass intro and fell in love. I googled the
song and looked in horror at the results: "Peace Sells". Could I truly love a Megadeth song? I dunno,
but I owned the album by the end of 6th grade. | 19 | | Control Denied The Fragile Art Of Existence
The day I learned that music was a way of life. 6th grade. | |

11.04.14 | I too jammed creed as a youngster. But Bad hair day by weird al was the soundtrack to my youth | Titan
11.04.14 | i don't care what anyone says, I Want It That Way was a great song
Yeah | Snake.
11.04.14 | "People may diss Metallica for being a pussy band for kids. Maybe so, but this album is the reason why I listen to Death,
Atheist, Opeth, and more. Fuck y'all who hate Metallica for that reason." | zakalwe
11.04.14 | Creed, Elton John, Backstreet Boys, The Soundtrack to the motion picture 'Twister'
Your childhood sounds if it was spent in a house where you did finger painting, there were never arguements, mum and dad were always happy and you had a shit haircut. | KrazyKris
11.04.14 | Let's face it, we all had bad haircuts back then. Some of us still have.
On Backstreet Boys: Larger Than Life > I Want It That Way | Titan
11.04.14 | Kris c'mon dude
haha | KrazyKris
11.04.14 | What?! Their lyrical depth is unprecedented. And damn are they good at whatever instruments they play. Oh, they don't play any? Well, at least they can sing.
Larger Than Life is still not bad for a pop song though. | Mutantsnowstorm
11.05.14 | I liked creed as a kid. I even saw them live with my dad in middle school....I wish my older self was around back then to just tell me "no." | FacelessMan
11.05.14 | damn your childhood must have been shit | AnimalsAsSummit
11.05.14 | 19 is epic | Necrotica
11.05.14 | The thrashy stuff on the list is sweet | glassg7
11.05.14 | I got into Sabbath at a pretty young age and that set the tone for everything | TheSonomaDude
11.05.14 | I had a buzzcut up until 5th grade, which I hated. My mom claims to be religious but really isn't (doesnt go to church but still says grace before meals, likes soft music but not Christian rock) and my dad was an ex-NFL receiver who was always pissed off. I finger painted in private school a few times, I'm sure. | parksungjoon
04.15.22 | "The animals will hear!" bellowed the ear licking penguin as the awesomely endowed midget sucked her oozing charlies and plugged his purple middle leg into her festering cunt. |
