Poet
07.16.08 | This is the first list that I've read where there isn't a single artist that I have heard of. |
jrowa001
07.16.08 | then you h ave some work to do Poet. i think youd really like 6 and 13 |
BallsToTheWall
07.16.08 | It's clear I need a bunch of these, especially 25. 4,6,7,8,9,13,19,20, and 25 look aamzing. But I have a huge to do list, thanks for adding 20 more to my already massive list. I'll try to torrent some before suffering a stroke from all this madness. |
Masochist
07.16.08 | I did. :-P
As I expected, I've heard of none of these bands. Still...sounds like you might enjoy some Anacrusis, if you haven't heard them yet. You can grab their albums for free on their official site, one song at a time (so you can click on a few songs and figure out if the rest of the album is worth it). They're a pretty cool, rather obscure melodic thrash metal band (or something like that, I don't know...). If you're interested:

07.16.08 | if only the album art for 9,10,15,18 would come up. theyre cool covers. plus is anyone havin trouble adding tracklisting? |
Metalikane
07.16.08 | I couldn't get into 11 so much, but I really liked 22. Haven't heard anything else. |
PayneTiger777
07.16.08 | What is 17 like? |
jrowa001
07.16.08 | 17 is a mix of stoner metal and doom metal. the vocals are a bit more on the sludge side. the doom sound comes from the slower riffs. i probably shouldve wrote stoner metal in the description. its a great album for fans of Reverend Bizarre or Electric Wizard |
Zoo
07.16.08 | I've been trying to find 19 for months. 5 and 6 are pretty quality. I would've put Serpenthrone for 1 and From Ashes for 2, though. Props on Wongraven, Det Var En Gang Et Menneske is an epic beast of a track. |
jrowa001
07.16.08 | you can find 19 easily on blogs. i dont know Serpenthrone or From Ashes but ill check them out. yeah that track is good |
Hawks
07.17.08 | I haven't heard of any of these bands except for Wongraven. |

jrowa001
07.17.08 | well i dont make these lists expecting alot of users to know a lot of the albums. so since you dont know most of these thats a good thing, because my lists are meant to help you guys find some new music. so go ahead and look up some of the bands that look interesting |
charlesfishowitz

jrowa001
07.17.08 | yeah 16 is solid post-rock, gorgeous stuff. StO kicked my ass too, its mountain of sound and poundage |
Athom
07.17.08 | Even though i've only heard a few of these, the ones i havent (pretty much everything other than Abysmal Dawn, Ocoai, and Fossil) seem pretty kick-ass. time to scour the blogs. |
