Goodtime Boys - Rain
essentially British Touche Amore.
Leer - Spring Break No Parents
grooves, head nodders, and foot tappers.
Climates - What Means the Most
anthems. alarmingly sincere, heart-in-hand anthems.
Reverse the Curse - Existent
post-hardcore/indie, with a pretty cool atmosphere throughout. sort of a wider scope than most punk bands, painting lush scenes in dark earth tones. in that way, they most readily recall post-2006 Brand New. And with the folkloric mood, it's the most you can get an "approaching a gypsy caravan" or "traversing the dense, enigmatic woods" feel out of a post-hardcore album. That Manchester Orchestra-O'Brother-Colour Revolt earthiness.
Down I Go - You're Lucky God, That I Cannot Reach You
progcore.
The Exploration - Demography
relatively stripped back screamo/emo. smoooooth guitar work.

04.12.16 | more old hometown heroes:
Frodus - And We Washed Our Weapons in the Sea
Hoover - The Lurid Traversal of Route 7
The Dismemberment Plan - The Dismemberment Plan is Terrified
Embrace - S/T
The Nation of Ulysses - Plays Pretty for Daddy
Smart Went Crazy - Con Art
Dag Nasty - Can I Say
Scream - Still Screaming
You can literally just go name by name through Dischord's all time roster. It's insular, but also a 30+ year evolutionary chart of hardcore, post-hardcore, emo, indie, etc. And the sheer consistency; very few albums worth skipping. To the point that it makes any deep dive fucking joyless.
