Faraudo 07.20.16	^^Agreed, El Cielo has zero low points. Blink-182's self titled is also a perfect album for me. Massive Attack's Mezzanine could also be one, Karnivool's Sound Awake, Radiohead's Kid A, NIN's The Downward Spiral, etc.

TVC15 07.21.16	I wouldn't say a single album is perfect because a lot are but several albums do make me feel a lot of different emotions in the album's span like The Holy Bible, A Love Supreme, In the Aeroplane Over the Sea, and a few others.
Typhoon24 07.21.16	oh there can be more than one. definition i was thinking is more along the lines of porcupine's comment about not wanting to change anything on it. and I mean ANY change. like if one song in the album is slow to start and that sliiiiightly annoys you, the album is no longer perfect.

Sevengill 07.21.16	The Mantle's pretty close. I honestly don't like A Desolation Song and it dampens the album for me. I wish it just ended with the reprise of the opening in Great Cold Death.

StallionMang 07.21.16	disintegration is the closest thing i can think of to the perfect record not so much because almost every track on there is a highlight, but because of how it flows from track to track, getting darker and darker, sending you on this introspective journey of diminishing hope

Ebola 07.21.16	Alice in Chains - Dirt Interesting that you should pick Number of the Beast for this list--it has a handful of stone-cold classic songs, but the album itself is frustratingly inconsistent. Persefone's "Core" has a chance of reaching that perfect level, but I haven't listened to it enough times to make that final call yet.

If everything they do is what they set out to create, if every note makes sense in context with the rest of the album, if it is clearly a standout success....K its fucking impossible to explain where I'm coming from without talking myself into a corner. So here are some perfect albums, IMO: Queensryche - Operation:Mindcrime (Rage For Order also garners serious consideration) Rage Against the Machine - S/T The Cure - Disintegration Rosetta - The Galilean Satellites Tool - Lateralus Brand New - The Devil and God are Raging Inside Me Megadeth - Rust in Peace

trve 07.21.16	there are quite some albums i would call "perfect" but those aren't the ones i enjoy the most, some albums need the flaws to make them what they are i.e. i consider my arms your hearse perfect from front to back, frances the mute certainly not, yet i enjoy frances the mute a lot more

That's exactly what I mean, if you're rating albums based on "perfection" you're kind of missing the point of rating albums imo. I look for a style I love then look for "perfection" within said style but that's just me. If I only gave 5's to perfect albums I'd never have any 5's ever.

There are albums that mean an awful lot to me for personal reasons that musically are excellent (but not perfect) which I wouldn't change one bit, so if thats the definition of perfect we're using then sure, most of my 5's are perfect in my humble opinion.
