Check Little Creatures, it's underrated as fuck. Your least favorite will probably be True Stories or Naked like the rest of us |

10.17.20 | Once I move on from the first 5, I will for sure. I heard it has some songs everyone agrees are great. |

10.17.20 | i was just trying to think of what my least favourite regina spektor album was the other day, at a push i'd probably say Songs is at least my least played of hers so i'd have to default to it |
YoYoMancuso
10.17.20 | the national - the national [2]
it's crazy to me that this and Alligator were released 4 years apart, the s/t is a 2.5 at best and Alligator is imo the best album ever made |

10.17.20 | Dazzle vision - origin of Dazzle
Let me start by saying it is a good album. If we are talking about the original release the album's biggest problem is the production value as the album can be slightly headache-inducing (the original 2004 version is even worse, but for all purposes, I am talking about 2006 re-release which is the one on this site).
There is also the fact one-third of the album's runtime is taken by a drone track (which tbh is actually one of my favorite drone tracks, however, there is less content in the conventional sense as a result). Their only stent in melodic death metal was solid here, and also features a bit of a nu-metal influence that would later become the primary sound on "Camilia Japonica"
Speaking of, when it comes to the rest of the bands disog. which features the likes of the "to the next", "Kirari", "FINAL ATTACK" (yes i know the whole shoving Metalcore, Electrocore EDM, Dubstep, j-pop down a mixer is controversial, but I love it, as can clearly be seen by 5ing the album) and even the rather soft "Crystal Children" are all absolute titans in the realm of J-rock/J-metal! So a rough around the edges debut whose the main factor is being as aggressively passionate as possible (or in the case of the outro, trying to give the listener as many nightmares as possible) the album has no chance of stacking up towards the rest.
Btw my average rating of their studio albums is 4.58 (4.8 if you took out this album) so that should tell for me how big of a gap their is between their debut and the rest of their studio disogrophy. |

10.17.20 | neurosis- pain of mind

Bananings

It's Steven Wilson's meme album, what do you expect? |
JohnnyoftheWell
10.18.20 | Seiko Oomori - kitixxxgaia
in some ways one of her most important albums in its metamorphosis from angry high school wine mum sarkiness into sharpass social critique, but too stuffed with undercooked idol pop tribute anthems to compete with anything else in her otherwise perfect discog :[
also Unwound - s/t but this one is okay because it's punk af and slams hard |
Pangea
10.18.20 | Radiohead - Pablo Honey
Just a pretty average 90s rock album. Nothing too terrible but also not particulary exciting |
Donchivo
10.18.20 | @normal: Nope, it's not. It has his moments here and there, but the pop songs are very weak. Belew's singing is just not good enough for voice centered pop. This one has the most pop songs of ny of the 80s trio of KC albums and thus definitely their weakest. A 3 at best.... |
Donchivo
10.18.20 | and Neurotica is the only tune here that might sneak into a top 50 KC song list... |
