Dewinged 01.27.23	Legit jealous of 10. Shipping costs to Japan, exchange rates and general price raise is completely killing the hobby for me. These days I am just limited to old records in semi-decent conditions on the local shop. I did buy the new Katatonia though.

Sinternet 01.31.23	generally best way to get things cheap is getting a load of independent stores newsletters for sale notifications and smart amazon shopping from my experience, although definitely agree that its becoming harder and harder to find ridiculously good deals (outside of america anyway). that and just sensible in-person digging - i've been to a ton of used record stores where the store has a particular genre/scene focus but gets releases in that they don't particularly do much research on and you can get a steal in those scenarios

Sinternet 01.31.23	haha have a very similar story, big independent collectibles/flea market near me has a few vinyl people, usually its just random b-tier 80s albums for a tenner but i check the £1 bin one day and it has the i hate myself/twelve hour turn split, which while not especially a valuable find it's like who the fuck are these 90s skramz folk selling their records for dirt cheap to bulk vinyl buyers and how can i intercept it. similar story with finding thrice's illusion of safety and minus the bear's acoustic ep in a bargain bin at a specialist jazz record store very jealous of those finds though, would kill for some yaphet on vinyl
