Pretty much all of it then? |

02.07.25 | the three cardinal sins of djent: muddy production, indistinct guitar articulation, chugga chugga |

02.07.25 | Over-saturation works for some genres, like melo death. Not djent however. |

02.07.25 | bro said articulation is bad when he sucks at articulating his thoughts here |

02.07.25 | IDK, djent is the perfect example of metal/metalcore junk food to me. It just hits sometimes, to say nothing of bands like TesseracT, Monuments, and Periphery that are actually able to do something semi-unique with the formula |

02.07.25 | I think your descriptions are a bit repetitive. You say the same thing over and over for each band, and each criticism is very similar to other ones in the list. Really, the things you don't like about each artist are the same for all the other artists in the list. Some more variety in the list descriptions would be beneficial, and I think your complaints are a little samey for each musical group. |

02.07.25 | chugga chugga is sort of part-and-parcel of djent though. I can enjoy a good chugga chugga if it leads to something interesting. But a whole ass song of nothing but 00-00-00-00 on the bottom two strings of an 8 or 9-string guitar gets real monotonous real quick. And if they haven't dialed in a good guitar tone (a lot of bad djent suffers from too much reliance on Axe FX) then it's a muddy low-end mess. |

Probably why his reviews suck too. |

02.07.25 | I don't like upbeat hip hop, I just find it corny 90% of the time. It's best in a more dramatic approach, which is a tone this album rarely touches. |

02.07.25 | Brutal death metal is very boring in my personal opinion, everything is so mind numbing constantly blast beats constant trem pick or guitar wankery with little to no structure to latch onto. Theres no sense of "this is the chorus" or "this is the verse", lacks any kind of dynamic sensibilities that I look for within the other genres of the desth metal umbrella.

02.07.25 | Let’s be honest, most modern djent in general sucks. Bands like Meshuggah or early Vildhjarta are more the exception than the rule. |

02.07.25 | I dunno i only listen to specific brutal death metal and only one djent band. With brutal death I only need to listen to two albums, I feel.
Besides, the one djent band i listen to is overwhelmingly complex to the point that i find it unique. Check out Bisbaye, band is great but there's very few fans out there. |

02.07.25 | I hate the djent guitar tone with a burning passion, so that automatically kind of locks me out of the genre |

02.08.25 | A lot of djent is absolutely fantastic. It will take the metal foundations and make things incredibly extravagant. Make things feel extremely cinematic and an all encompassing atmosphere. It creates a feeling of futurism, perfect for sci fi fanatics. |
