JohnnyoftheWell 01.23.25	first three Taeko Onuki albums are your bible, and then Junko Yagami - Communication Tohoku Shinkansen - Thru Traffic Tomomi Sano - Silent Flight Yumi Murata - Desire Takako Mamiya - Love Trip Yumi Matsutoya - Misslim (technically an antecedent to city pop, which she played later anyway, but this here is the business) Akina Nakamori - Bitter and Sweet (idol kayo more than city pop, but will scratch every one of those same itches) Haruomi Hosono/Shigeru Suzuki/Tatsuo Yamashita - Pacific (chill ass exotica by the cooking squad behind half of peak city pop) and then make a new list for the techno kayo binge that should be mandatory for all city pop trawlers at some point
