Ricciardo and Seb were my dudes when I did sporadically watch (the time zone conversion is rarely kind since I work most Sunday mornings) and that's taken a toll on my interest this year, but I have friends who are really into it and their enthusiasm rubs off enough on me to keep tabs on the headlines

A friend of mine sent me a site where you can watch them back for free years ago, I’ll see if I can find it and send it your way, I finally pulled the trigger and got the F1 Live subscription because I got tired of waking up at 4-6AM for most races

Jash 04.26.23	My hope is that Checo tags Max on the first corner, they both dnf, then Alonso wins and leads the championship standings for one race. That being said, it’s more than likely the prediction you said. Hamilton drives great here, so if they get lucky on strategy Alonso might face some heat for third, but not likely. All that being said, it’s the first sprint weekend with the new format, so only one practice session and quali on the same day might shake up the race order like we’ve never seen. Can’t say I’m in love with these sprint races, and the new rules around them this year, but it might shake the grid up in an interesting way, we’ll see.
garas 04.26.23	Tbh, I hate the entire sprint race/weekend thing. It adds nothing to the sport, just unnatural excitement factor. Less practicing often may shake up the grid, but it'd be easier to reduce them a little bit (BUT also giving extra testing time to the teams, that'd be the only way to be fair). I also want to see Alonso win again, but I don't think this will be that track. Aston isn't that strong if high top speed is required.

Feel like half of these races are nothing more than a designed/safe exhibition race. The races just feel way too safe and relaxed most of the time. Like the drivers aren’t even really challenged in any way.

Yuki is a super underrated driver, I can’t wait to see him get a better car under him in the future. Nyck is easily the biggest disappointment from all the rookies, and going into this he was my bid to have the best rookie season of the three

Watched the highlights and at one point, without a noted incident, he was 15 seconds behind the car ahead of him. I’m just a casual fan, and I appreciate the sport, but it’s nothing really but an exhibition in my opinion. No one that isn’t already into the sport is going to get excited for a 5th place battle.

Going out for a short hike before coming home to watch the actual race, very excited though. dedex 07.03.23	McLaren isn't good again, Lando is just really really really good. All those penalties were ridiculous tho, 3/4 of the grid got penalties. Why don't they just put gravel in those areas so that drivers have no incentive to go off-track limits
Jash 07.03.23	Once they get the upgrades on Piastri’s car as well we’ll see how much the team as a whole has improved, but Lando’s car had much more pace this weekend. As for the track limits, they’re professional drivers, they shouldn’t have to put gravel for them to stay in the lines, and not every single driver got penalties on race day, so it clearly can be done

If Russel and Zhou could complete a race in the lines (not a single issue with track limits), so the rest could do as well. Like Verstappen and Alonso also finished the race with only one deleted lap. (Another good reason why Ocon doesn't deserve that seat at all.)

Perez should’ve been ditched halfway this season to give Danny half a last year there, but also Perez brings in so much contract money that’s the same reason he started this year

Alpine potentially running a 50 million dollar gaining race out of nowhere was not expected. All together one of the most exciting qualifying sessions and races of the year

Jash 11.03.24	I can’t understand anyone saying it’s boring seeing him win with that kind of performance, I’m the biggest Max hater and I was jaw dropped by that drive. Alpine lucked out with a car that was bad in the dry, but somehow came alive in the wet, along with some advantageous yellow and red flags in quali and the race, but props to them for holding their ground in the long run
garas 11.04.24	Nah, the Alpines were the lucky ones since (turns out) noone other than Max knows how to drive in wet conditions. Lando showed poor performance with those lame mistakes, so he should blame himself too not just being unlucky. I'm super sad for the Williams team... man, this weekend was harsh on them.
