TAB 09.23.13	spoilers: dexter decides not to kill the killer and calls deb to make an arrest, killer shoots her/she has a stroke becoming a vegetable. dexter stabs the killer in the middle of the police station on camera in 'self defense', baptisa and quin are just like whatever fuck it. he goes into the hospital and rips deb out of life support, carries her to his boat and dumps her in the middle of a hurricane. he fakes his death, hiding as a truck driver with a beard. he also gave his kid to a serial poisoner.
iSkane 09.23.13	Show went super downhill after the fourth season. Episode got a straight F on the AV Club. Only one of those I've seen.

Wadlez 09.23.13	Some people hated the Lost ending.. but this is on a complete other level of universal panning. Lost just had too many series length mysteries that they never intended on answering... the end of it instead attempted to resolve the fates of the characters opposed to answering every theory. Some were fine with it.. others weren't..

Wadlez 09.23.13	I don't think LOST ending will ever rank near the top.. although with some people it still will.. But as an overall experience that show has its legacy as one of the greatest. You had to be a part of the community to realize it with all of the episode to episode theorizing.. It was a 24/7 community with some... Stuff like that gets "lost" pardon the pun with people who just binge watch the series after the fact now.

YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING ME. what kind of bullshit ending was tha... like....shit man season 7 was sooo fucking awesome, and here I was thinking they are going to make a comeback... the boyfriend is the killer again? seriously? Some psychologist comes out of nowhere and becomes the mother figure? The final killer of the show is totally and utterly forgettable of and lets reveal him in the final 4 episodes of the show. Hanna takes care of his son now? really? Who the fuck cares if Deb dies? That is how Dexter kills the final killer? seriously? They really are going to end the show with the focus on Hanna and not on Dexter's past deeds? Shit I wanted the whole department to flip out when they find out Dexter was the Bay Harbor Butcher but nooope. The writers just didn't give a flying fuck. "Oh, I have a great idea, lets make Dexter a lumberjack!" Did they fire all the writers of season 7? There was only 1 good episode of this season and it felt like a throwback to the early seasons. Fuck it, well, bout to watch breaking bad now.

InFiction 09.23.13	I agree, the ending as a whole was pretty underwhelming. I think S8 in its entirety was a sinking ship, so it pretty much only had one path to go down. Disregarding so many plot-holes, it was decent, but could have been much better. It's actually kind of a shame that it wasn't hugely bad, because even that would have sparked more discussion. The way it ended leaves a lot to be desired to the point where it isn't really worth talking about.
TMobotron 09.23.13	"Season 7 was the best season they did" Lol, what? The show has been going downhill since literally season 2. Everything has just lost all grounding in reality since then. Sure, Trinity was a great villain so he redeemed season 4 a bit, but the actual plot-line behind dexter has just been off the rails since the early seasons, and by 7 it's just chaos. Maybe it was less shitty than 5 and 6, but it still wasn't good. I do have to say for people like treb claiming they're "so glad I never got into this show", the show is a really interesting premise and the first few seasons are better than most television IMO. It just fuckin failed in its latter half.

TAB 09.23.13	But yeah dexters been pretty much a joke since the end of season 4. 5 was meh, i liked 6 on a so-bad-its-good level, 7 pissed me off but at least it had the punisher, and 8 overall was pretty awful. the season focused too much on a new character 'vogell' which seemed like bullshit because she hadn't been hinted to at all until season 8. the first half of it was mainly debra bitching at dexter to 'GETOUTINEVERWANNASEEUAGAINFUKK', than outta the fucking blue she goes chill. they should have introduced the killer much earlier in the season instead of dexter hunting down the wrong people the entire time. also the whole hanna mcay character arc, fucking retarded, season 7 shes a killer and dexter gets her put in jail, season 8 dexter decides he wants to marry her and live in argentina on the lam.... overall, only the first and forth seasons are worth a shit.

PayneTiger777 09.24.13	Am I the only one that was satisfied with the ending? SPOILER ALERT: Dexter isn't supposed to have a happy ending and I'm glad they went that route. Everyone he loves will eventually die in the long run, so he made the right decision to leave Harrison and Hannah for good. Deb is the tragic character of the series and it was her death that made Dexter realize that he needs to be alone for the rest of his life. Season 8 may have had it's many flaws, but I think they ended it the right way. I'm just glad they didn't end it like Dark Knight Rises.
