Especially in the early 2010s when the place felt intimidating, he made users feel apart of the site regardless of their taste in music. You did not have to feel bad or awkward about your "guilty pleasures" because Brandon always had a cogent and really humble reasoning as to why the music you enjoyed, and you yourself, had value. He was a friend to a lot of us who maybe weren't super comfortable with ourselves yet and quite simply a champion of this site and life. I am very sorry to his family and to all who are mourning him.
