Masochist 02.09.12	Hahaha, BRICK SIGHTING. Anyways...I still don't think I could rank Porcupine Tree. 'In Absentia' is the album that made me love them, but 'Stupid Dream' is probably the most endearing thing they've made, but 'Deadwing' has so many favorites of mine, but 'Fear of a Blank Planet' is consistent as all damn Hell, and even 'The Incident' has "Time Flies." The only thing I could say is that my ranking would be different. But it's not like I could tell you what it was. Good list either way, if only because it's a PT list :-P

In all actuality, it's probably their least-accessible album. But it's the most rewarding upon repeat listens. "Way Out Of Here" is of my absolute favorite PT songs.

I was in the same boat but eventually "My Ashes" and "Sentimental" became some of my favorite songs by them, they're both so well-written and touching. Just give it time.

IMZA1793 02.09.12	anesthetize is my favorite PT song. 2nd song i heard from them also(a friend recomended me blackest eyes and i loved it). seems like blackest eyes is the best choice if you want someone to be hooked to PT.

RooseveltsGhost 02.09.12	Signify is the shit. That album is what I point to back up my 'Pink Floyd is a poor man's Porcupine Tree' claim. Dark Matter, Sever, and Waiting Phase Two are better than anything in the PF catalog.

RooseveltsGhost 02.11.12	Dislocated Day is the only track I like from Sky Moves Sideways. Both title tracks have some great parts, but they also have cringe-worthy parts and are waaaayyyy too long. Raider II is better than either phase.

Dimor 03.03.12	Yeh, thats what iv'e heard aswell. I guess Steven wants to work around with Storm Corrosion a bit first too. Im longing to hear some of Gavin Harrisons drumming once again, hes so fucking sick.
RooseveltsGhost 03.03.12	I read somewhere that Steven said only 15-20% of the music on Storm Corrosion had drums. I'll withhold judgment from that statement until I've heard it, but I will say that Gavin is the best part of anything SW does.

Dimor 03.03.12	Acutally ive listened to some of their stuff, and i agree, it certainly does include some amazing drumming. Kinda like him more in his music with PT though.

Dimor 03.04.12	Ive heard that the music is supposed to be mainly "acoustic-based" so to speak, and alot of mellow and clean songs are to be expected i guess. But those are really the parts that i love the most about Opeth and Steven Wilson's projects, so im sure it won't dissapoint.
