I work for land rover in liverpool and we also have a plant based in solihull so we quite often have guys transfer to our place or come over to work for certain periods. Sorry to sound all doom and gloom, i'm sure there will be a ton of cool ass people in the area. This is just my experience with a limited few.

Ahh no worries, I moved there because my friend offered me a place at her flat for a year until I can get on my feet. It was better than house hopping nonstop.

But being able to stay somewhere for a year is far better, even if it's a less than desirable area.
