Fuckin aaaaaaaamped
| |
so basically what they did last time but just a lil longer prob? k
| |
Oh, lawdy...
| |
I already got bored and sleepy reading that it was gonna be a double album
| |
will suck like the rest of their discography
| |
@Xenophanes the EP was way better than the album that came out after it. I don't like Parallax II all that much but the following album was quite the grower on me.
| |
I know of this band, but have never dived into their discography. Is there a best place to start with them?
| |
Aw man, the Dear Hunter? Hmmm... might have to make the Philly trip...
| |
ew
| |
@Danred I’d start with Colors
| |
step your game up tool where's your triple album
| |
Can't wait. Tour has a great lineup too. Hell yeah.
| |
I hope they continue to go in the direction they did with Coma Ecliptic, I fell off for a couple years due to the parallaxes but got back into them heavily the past 5 months
| |
Ehm how about releasing half an album instead?
| |
Last was pretty great so I’m looking forward to this.
| |
Cool. Double the suck. Just what the world needed.
| |
no thanks
| |
I came. legit
| |
Now they're definitely copying Dream Theater. No, but really, I've been in a heavy rotation these last days with BtBaM and I'm really excited.
| |
Sumerian posted the lengths of each track on their site:
1. Condemned to the Gallows (6:35)
2. House Organ (3:41)
3. Yellow Eyes (8:45)
4. Millions (4:43)
5. Gold Distance (1:02)
6. Blot (10:27)
| |
Fucking hell why isn't that tour coming to Europe The support acts do show that the record will probably be way more prog rock than the technical prog metal we are used to from these guys. I guess more of a continuation of the last release
| |
so I guess we're just getting one whole album chopped into two pieces, or like two EPs with one theme
| |
Please be good
| |
Is it really a double album if it's just two half albums released separately?
| |
Might be like the powers that B
| |
i like parallax II but Coma Ecliptic was kinda boring other than a few songs. also too many weird clean vocals.
| |
What are the chances this is a Nier: Automata concept album? LOL but even then they could never match that games music so...
| |
"Is it really a double album if it's just two half albums released separately?"
asking the real questions
| |
still looking forward to this though
| |
'Is it really a double album if it's just two half albums released separately?'
Shhhhhh. It's a way for them to make twice the amount of money
| |
"Is it really a double album if it's just two half albums released separately?"
If each half album is the length of a regular full album, then yes.
| |
if the album has a heavy disk/non heavy disk thing like The Ocean, i may be interested but if its just more coma ecliptic then i'll pass
| |
Looking forward to this even though coma ecliptic was severely disappointing.
| |
Cud be gud
| |
wish they would go back to a rawer style, their proggier shit is so boring
| |
Not as hyped for this after Coma Ecliptic
| |
The progressive metal gods have returned! All praise BTBAM.
| |
Maybe these albums will get me back into listening to this band again.
Maybe
| |
So this is Parallax again? Or what Coheed did with Afterman? Ehh... Looks like the songs might be a bit shorter this time around, so hopefully they're a bit more focused. These guys lose me in their instrumentation sometimes.
| |
"wish they would go back to a rawer style, their proggier shit is so boring"
i wish they would do this too because silent circus is the best, but at least coma ecliptic was good and not a snoozefest like parallax 1 and 2
| |
'"Is it really a double album if it's just two half albums released separately?"
If each half album is the length of a regular full album, then yes.'
K, but this track list is like 35 minutes. I guess that's pretty close to album length.
| |
Will be bad.
| |
Needs more sexy androids killing robots.
| |
hurry up and just make colors 2 or alaska 2 already dumbasses
| |
So damn stoked dude!
| |
It's two half albums. Same shit happened with Periphery when they signed with Sumerian.
| |
I like Colors ....but that’s it.
| |
Yay!
| |
Album cover is nice. I can imagine some Silent Circus material fitting that cover.. Here's hoping that 1 minute song is a grindfeast.
You know, something unexpected.
| |
cbb to care about this band anymore tbh
| |
Concept album about third playthrough of Nier: Automata
| |
If this is anything like the last album it will blow chunks
| |
"So this is Parallax again? Or what Coheed did with Afterman? Ehh... Looks like the songs might be a bit shorter this time around, so hopefully they're a bit more focused. These guys lose me in their instrumentation sometimes."
At least with Parallax, you didnt need to buy the EP in order to fully understand Parallax II.
I hope this doesn't suck like Coma Eclipitic.
| |
"I'm edgy. Band is boring. Blahblahblah".
There's other ways to get attention....like BTBAM will on they'd killer new album. So damn pumped!
| |
Coma was boring as shit, so my expectations aren't really high for this.
| |
"I know of this band, but have never dived into their discography. Is there a best place to start with them?"
Colors is their magnum opus, but Alaska is potentially just as good depending on the day, your mood, and the alignment of the stars. The Silent Circus and the self-titled are also really great if you prefer a more raw death metal experience from the guys. There are stand out tracks littered all over those 4 LPs.
| |
Michigan is the last stop of the tour, aye!
| |
coma was horrible...
| |
lol gay band
| |
lol this band
alaska is dec tho
| |
New song is straight outta Great Misdirect
| |
Where did you find it?
| |
I enjoyed Colors but... idk man. It might be like Coma Ecliptic for 2+ hours lol.
| |
Hopefully they ditch that shitty singer/screamer.
| |
Huh, the album cover uses the exact same tone of red as the debut album does. Coincidence?
| |
play white wall
| |
Ain't nobody got time for that
| |
cover looks like 90's alt rock grunge crap.
| |
When am I gonna get Alaska Pt.2?
| |
The 2 albums together are 1 hr 6 mins
| |
@coldheaven never
| |
Nothing post Alaska and Colors has done much for me. That or this just isn’t my preference of music anymore
| |
I can relate to that
| |
The single is heavy as balls. Stoked for this.
| |
CRUSH US OVER AND OVER AGAINNNNNNN
| |
but if the second disc is just Colors in case anyone didnt hear it.
| |
super grindy cover
| |
man I wanna hear the single, I feel like if these guys combined Parallax and Coma Ecliptic it would be such a great record
| |
please be better than coma ecliptic pleaaaaaaaaaaase
| |
The new song is heavy and brutal af
| |
Sounds like it is, only heard a clip tho
| |
Atleast the production is a lil better, but for some reason Tommy's vocals sound weak on this and past release. They are again too loud in the mix, but atleast the guitars are louder too. Song is heavy, not sure if I like it yet
| |
The new song is cool - Condemned to the Gallows. It's definitely heavy, so I wonder if that will be the tone for the album. Parts of it sound like standard BTBAM fare (saying that as a big fan) so while the song is good, it's not necessarily hyping me up for the album. Maybe it's a grower and not a shower. Tommy's growls sound strained though, like his voice is blowing out or he had a bad cough when they recorded it. The difference isn't huge, maybe I'm imagining it.
| |
They should get a guy that can growl and like convincingly scream. Like a lower voiced guy, and keep Tommy to do cleans. That'd make the band like way better imo
| |
Tommy's got too much pride to let that happen most likely, but yeah there are certainly better options out there.
