Not gonna listen, but feel confident enough to extend a hearty "wow this sucks dog shit".

Track list seems pleasantly brief. Hopefully there’s something to be said about a direct back to roots type of record. I mean, it’s probably not going to be “great”...

LIVING MISTAKES
FEEDING THE HATE
KILL OR BETRAY
| |
They have done worse for use, it's just not very interesting imo. Matts vocals seem to get worse and worse though
| |
I like the song and I've loved BFMV for 15+ years, but this Carl Brown's production jobs really annoy me. Anyone else? This, the Gravity album, and While She Sleeps' new stuff all sound like they're being played through a tunnel with a homeless guy banging a plastic bucket for the snare drum.
| |
Haven't really cared about anything BFVM since Fever, but this i actually enjoyed more than I was expecting.
| |
They're going for the heavy route this time. This is actually better than the lead single for Venom, but I'm not really excited
| |
i expected it to suck and it was slightly above average so i guess thats kinda good? It certainly is a metalcore song.
| |
everyone wishing for a good core throwback, check new wristmeetrazor
| |
idk pika, that single they released sucked gorilla dick
and so does this song
| |
the single is by far the worst thing on the album
| |
This is like the 3rd “back to roots” album for these guys.
| |
this is actually decent-ish. then again, anything is better than bring me my valentine
| |
Vocals sound like he just swallow a hedgehog
| |
This kinda slaps lol
"Vocals sound like he just swallow a hedgehog"
lmao this I can agree with though
| |
That effect is weird. It the most fun I had with a BFMV song since Raising Hell. I still don't get why that's one wasn't on the album
| |
this actually wasn't terrible tbh. Instrumentally it's fine but Matt's vocals really do suck hard now
| |
Originally one of the best mxc vocalists and now easily one of the worst.
| |
Like don't tell me Hand of Blood vox didn't go in.
| |
Yeah Matt's vocals are iconic but they really do suck now.
| |
this is fine. vox are produced all to hell but I imagine that was necessary.
| |
Haven't listened to these guys since The Poison & Scream, Aim, Fire. Seems like a decent metalcore track, though, not sure where the hate on the vox is coming from.
| |
I was mostly referring to the clean vocals. Screams are fine I guess just overproduced. Clean vocals have been awful for a while and getting worse. Probably has a lot to do with the way they're produced too. Sounds like he's singing underwater or something it's so distracting.
| |
Uh the screams are shit, too. Sounds like he's barely doing them at volume whatsoever.
| |
wow went from a 1 to a 2 or 2.5, big jump guys. instrumental does the job, especially the rhythm section but jesus this dude's screams are so phoned-in
| |
They just need to stop already
| |
i just want them to take like a 5-10 year hiatus to put out one last decent effort in secrecy so they can just have a semi-proper sendoff because their music since 2010 has sounded more and more phoned in with each release imo (fever is prob their second best record tho so idk, this applies more to the albums after) because i havent been able to stand more than a few of these guys' new tracks at a time without just wanting to turn off my music as a whole lol
| |
Congrats to them for finally releasing something good.
So nice to hear the screams back. I'm clapping.
| |
Some brain numbing lyrics as ususal. Checked again, the song is serviceable, but slightly turning me off with these vocals. Honestly, I'm just surprised this isn't like the hot garbage they did for a few albums now. But it doesn't go any further than that.
| |
band has made me completely limp since fever
| |
Anything is better than Gravity.
| |
i hope they pick up their knives it could be dangerous if they leave them laying around
