 | DoofDoof Big Ange... just not sure now. Players dont seem convinced to me.

| DoofDoof It harks back to Ten and Yield in a good way I think, little bit of Backspacer too which was half a good album and half dross but still more engaging than most of the other recent PJ albums. Took me about six full listens but it is no longer homework/a nostalgia listen - a solid rock album and there are few about.

 | Futures your music stories are so great. you gotta make a list just reminiscing and telling stories about when you were listening to certain albums. but yeah stone cold classic wish i could wipe t/t and iron man from their cultural impact and listen for the first time. hand of doom might be my fav sabbath song.

| Deez Was absolutely wild as usual mate,bit of a blur tbh. Saw some old mates, Picked up every disease known to man and spent 14 grand in 3 months hahha, can guess I had a ball. Came back 3 weeks ago back to work and to scraping some coins to do it all over again in November : )

| DoofDoof If the King Creosote was all as good as the best four songs then prob AOTY - Ides is the song grower of the year for me, that is outstanding. The second tune is almost up there too, that chorus hits hard for me with my domestic life of a girl household lol

| DoofDoof I will revisit that chemical brothers again, a 3 is probably too harsh?especially when I gave the new Chase and Status a 4! The funny one you should try in the new The Streets album, I am trying to work out if it is actually as bad as it initially comes across or if there is some hidden depth there lol. It sounds laughable in places, funny.

 | Dewinged Given the state of Lords of the Fallen right now (bugs, crashes, frame rate drops), I would say Lies of P is the safest bet! LoP is really polished, the atmosphere is great, amazing weapon system, classy soundtrack, engaging story. Lords of the Fallen is brutal, raw, gritty. Enemy density is ridiculous and everything hits really hard, the lamp system and world phasing stuff is interesting though.

| DoofDoof I would definitely say you cant have Exile at a 2.5 and the new one at a 4.5! I dont like qualified - they are 80 years old - reasoning, it is genuinely a good album whatever their ages but I wont add a .5 to the score because their bus free passes are starting to fray around the edges.

| DoofDoof not quite as blown away but it is solid - been getting into their older stuff a lot more, upped Beggars Banquet to a 5, that one is class. Let it Bleed is the one I knew from my youth and thats up to a 4.5, and Exile is getting close to a 4.5 too. If you are rating the new one as high as those I would say that might be a bit of recency talking, new one is a 3-3.5 I would say on first impressions

| BitterJalapenoJr Brilliant album, a recent discovery for me but a couple of tracks were very familiar. I should have put that on the list. I can imagine it being life changing if you were a certain age at the time it was released. I estimate I am about 8 or 9 years behind you, the life changing albums for me were at the turn of the millenium. I'll be checking out the recs you put on my list. Cheers mate.

| DoofDoof yeah, the vocals feel a little sarcastic and poisonous, a conscious step away from how immediate they were on the debut, and that reminds me of Cobain on In Utero sometimes - defeated but also confrontational towards the listener

Great week for releases - Sparklehorse, the Jonathan Wilson was quality, enjoyed the Matthew Halsall, the Handsome Family (goth country) was a return to form, quite liked the Roisin Murphy this time too.

| MyMentality Saw Blur last night and they were sublime! Wasn't expecting to come out with so many bruises though. Crowd surfed during This Is a Low and was rescued by Smoggy, top bloke! Set was great too, lots of MLIR tunes, Jubilee was played too which was a nice surprise! You're in for a treat.

| DoofDoof Yeah, since I joined here I have listened to 10,000 more albums! I would say the most mental bit of that profile is the 'Year Ranking' list. Saying that I probably only spend a couple of hours a week making changes to stuff on there, not too bad for a hobby...maybe. Yorkston can usually be relied on, anat recommended him to me a while back, a lot of his stuff I still need to get to. 'Concentrated Listen' means it will definitely get 5 proper listens through this week, Iggy Pop was last week.

| DoofDoof Not tried The Blue Hour - did try the one before that and wasnt into it at the time. Gave Dog Man Star another go today and it has its moments but still not fully sold, might just be I prefer this later sound.

| DoofDoof Will have to go back to their discog again and give the early albums another go...but something about the more punk feel, constant guitar assault and Anderson toning down the Bowie'isms makes this one great - if this was a new band I would love it, not that it doesnt sound like Suede at all. Solid.

| DoofDoof So is the SE the daytime Moon Safari for you? Slapped a 4 on it?also realised I had rated the previous one a 2. Listened to half of that to see if I was wrong but no, much prefer this direction, career saver. Hope they release another one in a similar style.

| DoofDoof Went in the pit for the entire set of Prodigy at Brixton last night, was like an oven in the venue, somehow handled it though - going down the gym after dropping the kid at nursery every morning must be paying off. They were immense, Keef missed of course
