Musical taste is subjective, and Crimes is proof. Exaggerating every aspect of The Blood Brothers sound to create a ferocious amalgam of styles that will either win you over or drive nails through your skull. Fuzzed out bass lines, killer punk riffs and strangely baroque sensibilities make this one of post-hardcore's strangest gems.

A bit chaotic. Especially when it comes to the vocals. I mean that in a positive way though. The combination of whacky guitar melodies and the dual-vocalists with different vocal ranges gives them a certain something. This album was a bit more catchy so to say, being easier to access. I've never heard an album that sounds anything like this. Every song is catchy, heavy, lyrically retarded, fun, chaotic all at the same time. Vocals make this very unique to say the least, but the screams are fucking unbelievable

in a world where pretty much every screamo band is a ripoff of a ripoff of a ripoff, The Blood Brothers have always stand out in a steaming shitheap of a scene. [i don't like screamo.] This album combines the screeching intensity of their previous works with a new approach that brings both originality and amazingness to the table. from the insanity of Trash Flavored Trash and Beautiful Horses that BB were best known for on earlier albums, to the mellow swooning melodies of Live At The Apocalypse Cabaret and the title track itself, Crimes cements its place in my head as the best hardcore album i've ever heard. the only thing that kills it is the barely-memorable Teen Heat, and the album closer Celebrator, where Johnny Whiney finally overdoes it. An otherwise perfect record. Highly recommended for that kid on your bus who thinks A Skylit Drive and Bring Me The Horizon are thee best bands on earth
