This record is Meta's pupal form: raw production, unfinished, questionable ideas (take the confused yelping on Finish It), and less consistent energy. To be fair, though, through all of their records, this being no exception, Meta are a mighty force of musicianship and sound candy for the extreme metal fan. There's a lot of redeeming value amidst the muck here.

Solid neckbreaking record. I find this one a bit too Meshuggah-esque, especially when compared to Meta, which was more creative imo.

Such an underrated album. Nothing compares to the well-performed/high quality technical assualt delivered on this album. Not to mention that a great amount of the songs on here are really well written. Easily kicks Centralia to the Curb. If you've only heard their debut, give em a second chance with this one.

Elliot Hoffman is spectacular, as always, but I found this album somehow seems both less energetic and less accessible than Centralia. It might grow on me, but it seems a lot harder to latch onto. Still, it deserves a relatively high rating at least on the merits of creativity and musicianship.
