All the reviews that have come out so far have labeled this is as one of the most disgusting and depraved death
metal albums to come out in awhile. That's 100% accurate; this thing is as filthy as the cover art. As someone
who tends to shy away from the more overproduced death metal that comes out today (that does not just mean
technical/melodic/progressive stuff, that includes bands like Abysmal Dawn who lose all their edge from the
recording), this is exactly what I want in a modern death metal release. It's nothing new by any means, but the
brutality on display here is undeniably well done, and adds up to a pretty fantastic listen. There is a bit of songs
blurring together, but there are differences and memorable moments outside of the ugliness of the entire
package.

Without the shocking name and cover art this album is an embarrassingly transparent and juvenile attempt at "raw" and "brutal" death metal. I'm sure some people will eat up the blatant perversion that the band employs but they're really just a bunch of guys trying too hard.

I think I remember reading something about the picture that was used for the cover being the
remains of some old man who accidentally boiled himself alive in his bathtub for a week or two.
I'm not sure about the specifics of the case, or how it even happened, but if this sounds anything
like how that room would have smelled then it'll probably rule m/

Despite its repulsive and wildly unnerving nature, the retro death metal-oriented Suicide Euphoria is somewhat like a Cabbage Patch Kid once you compare it to a black army of goregrind albums. The vocals and the craftsmanship are definitely passable, although this record's production quality sounds compressed up the ass. Songwriting-wise, Pissgrave's freshman studio effort is an afterthought, as there's just not much diversity or compelling ideas anywhere. Quite frankly, if you were to ask me, carrying a comatose body to a morgue filled with torture devices is more vile than Suicide Euphoria's presence; not that I'm fine with such a scenario.

Remember the guttural sounding, raw and maggot-infested death metal filth of early Carcass, Repulsion and Autopsy? Well you better strap yourself, because Pissgrave takes that sound to the next level, creating one of the ugliest and gruesome records I've heard in a while. And they managed to pull it off in a way that the songs don't become self parody they hit hard and heavy, the lo-fi buzz guitar sound is great and the vocals are just insane. Not an easy listen but highly recommanded for fans of the genre.

High 8 out of 10: I am in utter disbelief this is a real LP. Not because it's bad; far from it. However, it all just seems so impossible for something so disgusting to possibly exist. The buzz isn't faking, this is truly one of the most gruesome and sickening LPs I have listened to in the longest time. The fact that these vocals are naturally coming from another human is enough to turn my stomach, and I mean that in the best way possible.
