With so many great songs on the album its hard to pick a single favorite. The album manages to have many different songs on it without making them sound too similar to each other. The slower songs tend to have a wispy sound that flows from beginning to end while the faster songs tend to make you want to get up and dance. Somewhere around half the songs are love songs the album doesnt get boring in any sense of the word. The vocals are on point for every song and being accompanied by the violin makes for a very full sound that makes the album as a whole stand a cut above the rest in the discography r

The beginning of the album is just okay, but the build up from Believe me Now until Mr. Blue Sky is just insane. Really enjoyable album

I saw a video on youtube about how the 3 tracks leading up to Mr. Blue Sky were amazing, and they are, but then I listened to the whole album instead of just these 4 songs, and all the other are as good as the quadrilogy of weather.

Out of Blue manages to hand around the same theme but create versatility out of it. It is one of those rare albums where it is difficult to choose one favorite song. The album is full of uplifting songs that makes the listeners feel real good.

A long dive into some of the most recognizable and timeless pop songs of the 70s. With the now classic "Mr. Blue Sky", the string and synth duet found on "The Whale" and the goofy "Jungle", Jeff lynne and Co. have crafted their most consistent release to date.

Out of the Blue had some great songs on it, but not enough to sustain a full double album. Many of the songs feel like filler and it could have easily been condensed down to a single LP. All the good songs on this have been included on the best of albums so this is an unnecessary album.
