Author and Punisher moves a few feet away from the gnarly industrial doom metal that he had perfected on 'Beastland' in exchange for a synthier, more cybernetically grungy sound. The result is no less distinctly dissonant and brutal, but this time it is wrapped in a packaging of technofuturism, instead of apocalypse.

This drags very slightly in places, but overall it creates a heavy, dense industrial atmosphere which borders on crushing at times. Misery is the stand out song.

I can't say I've ever sat through a single 'Industrial' song - let alone a 50 minute record.
Of-course, the industrial aesthetic is only part of the overall picture here and I wouldnt
say that I'm now going to happily listen to NIN (not my C.O.T). But this rocks.......
