This band is habitually disappointing. They just keep releasing the same mediocre album over and over again. From someone who loved Alive or Just Breathing & End of Heartache.

It's Killswitch Engage doing the exact same thing they've been doing since Jesse came back
to the band. It's not bad, but it's so formulaic and familiar (not to mention unremarkable)
that there's no reason to listen to this over any of the older albums. There's literally
nothing compelling, new, or better on this album compared to anything they have done before.
"This Consequence" doesn't elicit love or hate, just indifference.

With all the early pre-release interviews with Jesse about the band taking time to write something new this time around, it's insane how one-note boring the release turned out to be, even Atonement (as formulaic as it was) ranks higher in my eyes. Sadly, the latest Times of Grace album didn't fare that much better either. What an insanely far cry from AOJB.
