Sepultura Kairos
Amidst all the reports of going back to the ROOTS and creating CHAOS, this album only creates some quality boredom.rThe songs seem to begin with some good riffing but soon gets very repetitive, especially the first song Spectrum that surely gets to the nerves.rThere are bands that write stupid lyrics but the growls make up for that, but not with Sepultura. They even seem to experiment (Structure Violence) but it sounds terrible. The solos are good, it sounds overall like Slayer.rWith the bands setting high standards this year, Kairos will be shoved away within minutes of your first listen.r

Cannabis Corpse Beneath Grow Lights Thou Shalt Rise
Starting off as just a spoof of the probably most commercial death metal band Cannibal Corpse, these guys made their name and reputation extremely fast. With their parody song titles, lyrics and some great death metal music, this is the epitome of a love-or-hate band.rThis particular album is most likely their best one to date. They have topped themselves with the ridiculously wicked song titles and the amazing song compositions. In fact, if you removed the whole parody aspect of the band, you'd be left with one hell of a death metal release which it really is.rBuy this, smoke some weed, listen to awesome death metal.

Otep Atavist
Shamaya is fucking back with another excellent and to-your-face album.rIf you haven't heard of 'em, it's about time you did. They're basically a four-piece band that plays a mixture of hardcore and nu metal. Maybe even a slight touch of death metal, if you review the shit song by song. The lyrical themes are mostly women abuse, problems of society and rants about bad regimes. But what puts them above the rest are those sick Shamaya's vocals.rHint: She's a chick.rAll in all, it's similar to the previous release and that means quality.
