Madonna Like a Prayer
"Like A Prayer" has been critically rewarded and praised as one of the best pop albums in history. The title track surely is a spiritual experience and musical orgasm, but what's about the rest? "Express Yourself" is a cheesy 'feel good' anthem with an annoying 'please clap your hands' chorus. "Cherish" must have been mistakably put on the record. It's pure fabric softener. So is "Dear Jessie", one of the most crackbrained tracks Madonna ever had... so what makes this album outstanding except the title track?
Well it surely must be the Prince collaboration "Love Song", a sassy and soulful 'get me into bed' songs with slight dissonances.		3.0

Christina Aguilera Christina Aguilera
Compared to "Baby One More Time" which sadly overshadowed Christina Aguilera's pleasasant debut, the self-titled album made an important statement in pop music: watch out, there is actually somebody who's talented and about to blow your mind!
Nevertheless... "Christina Aguilera" contained a quite unexciting bunch of good and polished pop songs. Pleasant, but not as innovative as her upcoming stuff.		3.0

Grace Jones Warm Leatherette
"Warm Leatherette" is my favourite record of Grace Jones. It contains her most substantial material to date as well as her best efforts recreating magnificent cover version. The standout track is probably BREAKDOWN. Its bittersweetness is very well portrayed. It's heartbreaking and luscious at the same time. You don't know if you want to cry or bask in painful memories of your deliquescent love.
PRIVATE LIFE on the other hand is almost as cold as ice. All emotions have been shut down and Grace is mumbling delightfully remote-controlled (like a robot). The only emotional breakdown is the (too) short ejaculation after the hook. Magnificen		4.0
