Meanwhile (000efe), this amazing lil EP will do. THINGS BEHIND thin,,,,gs is already goated | 4.0 10.20.24 | | The Decemberists As It Ever Was, So It Will Be Again

| 3.0 09.21.24 | | Sunset Rubdown Always Happy to Explode This sounds really good. It's less bombastic than any of the prior Sunset Rubdown albums,
which makes sense. Both the lack of their lead guitarist coupled with Spencer's advanced
songwriting and taste are responsible for this more stripped back approach. The melodies
here, however, are tighter than they've been for the better part of Spencer's latest solo
releases. There are grooves here and his synths sound better here than almost any other
project. It's a very grounded, mature album that has twists and turns while just mostly
being really pretty, thought-provoking indie music. | 4.0 09.20.24 |
| Egarran Aw, thank you! Wth you've been here almost 14 years?? It took a couple of listens but now I am indeed digging Blue Wav. I really resonate with Lytle's smiling melancholy.

| Sowing Thanks, it's always nice to hear that. I've noticed our ratings often align too. :-) the new Cloud Nothings is excellent. The guitars and percussion are pretty wild and then they accent it with subtly catchy vocal hooks. Probably the definition of a 4 but I often inflate/upvote to sway the average of stuff that I feel is being wrongfully dismissed. I actually haven't listened to the new Nick Cave yet but I plan on streaming it as soon as I get a chance.
