ASAP Rocky At.Long.Last.A$AP
Aversions Crown Xenocide
Black Peaks Statues
What the hell are they putting in the water across the pond? These dudes, Marmozets and Arcane Roots are absolutely killing it right now. Technically proficient and anthemic post-hardcore.

Glass Cloud The Royal Thousand
Glassjaw Material Control
Greyhaven Empty Black
Hollow Earth Dead Planet
Imagine the best parts of Shai Hulud, Hum and Mastodon crunched together and you have one hell of an apocalyptic, doomy, spacey, crushing record. 2016 is the year of fantastic metalcore it seems.
Invent Animate Everchanger
Invent Animate Stillworld
For anyone who was disappointed with Northlane's Node or metalcore in general, check this out. It improves on Everchanger in just about every way; it's expansive and engaging without ever overstaying its welcome.
Invent Animate Greyview
Ion Dissonance Cast the First Stone
As someone who only has fleeting enjoyment for Breathing Is Irrelevant, Cast
the First Stone
finds Ion Dissonance continuing where they left off from
Cursed, while also tightening up their songwriting. Apart from the short
instrumental "Untitled II," this record is an unrelenting mix of angular riffs,
stuttering drums, and violent, misanthropic screams. "To Lift the Dead Hand of the Past"
might just be the best song these guys have ever written.
Jessie Ware What's Your Pleasure?
Kanye West The Life of Pablo
The gospel according to Kanye, whether you like it or not.

Recommended: Ultralight Beam, Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1, Pt. 2, Feedback, Waves, FML, Real
Friends, 30 Hours, No More Parties In LA
Lost In Separation Sister Moon (Deluxe Edition)
Wow wow wow. This came out of freakin' nowhere. Some of these dudes used to be in a band
called Telos, so it can be debated whether or not this is a proper debut, but holy fuck
this is one of the best debut albums I've ever heard. The songs are fully formed, the
production is great, the breakdowns are punishing, the instrumentation is technical as
hell, vocals are great... AND they're unsigned. This needs more attention. FFO: Erra,
Invent, Animate, Silent Planet, Oceans Ate Alaska Fav tracks: Windburner, Deathwish (my
god that breakdown), The Endeavor
Mithras On Strange Loops
Imagine a spacier and more melodic Domination-era Morbid Angel, and you wouldn't be too
far from what you're getting with On Strange Loops . Very interesting release from
these guys.
My Bloody Valentine m b v
Napoleon Newborn Mind
No Joy Motherhood
Numenorean Home
Depressingly beautiful.
Oathbreaker Rheia
This album is a fucking whirlwind.
Playboi Carti Die Lit
Pusha T King Push – Darkest Before Dawn: The Prelude
Silver Snakes Saboteur
Imagine the love child of Thrice and Cave In, whose offspring hooked up with Deftones and dabbled in early Nine Inch Nails and you wouldn't be far off from what Silver Snakes is doing on Saboteur. This is some really great stuff.
Stories (AUS) The Youth to Become
Sunless Urraca
Will I be burned at the stake if I say I appreciated this more than the last Ulcerate or
Sunlight's Bane The Blackest Volume: Like All The Earth Was Buried
You could be having a great week, put this on, and then immediately despise everyone. Pure fucking misanthropy contained within 54 mins.
Textures Phenotype
The Armed Untitled
The Dillinger Escape Plan Irony Is a Dead Scene
Thy Art Is Murder / The Acacia Strain / Fit for an Autopsy The Depression Sessions
All the new songs are great, and the covers are surprisingly faithful to the originals. Kinda makes you wish they did a whole record.

Not nearly as fresh as Settle was, but it's still pretty good. Much more of an R&B/slow jam vibe all across the board. Recommended tracks: All the singles, Nocturnal, Superego.

3.0 good
Auras Heliospectrum
It's okay. They don't stray far from a lot of other bands of their ilk, but what's here is well-performed and instrumentally solid. They also have a good ear for melody here and there.
Future DS2
Whitechapel Mark of the Blade
About on par with Our Endless War. Decent stuff, but for these guys to have been around for as long as they have and continually rely on lunkheaded rhythms and rip Slipknot is a real bummer.
