Highs Dazzle Camouflage
There is no question as to the skill and ability of the band. This album has catchy tunes, great guitar riffs/fills, tasteful harmonies, a coherent overall sound, but the overall sound is like the Highs EP on cough syrup. The energy of the EP is incredible and is not matched by any song on Dazzle Comouflage; there are moments of potential, but right when I think all the instruments are going to flower, the sound collapses in onto itself. There are many grooves that are fun, though this album just didn't catch me like their early material.r2.5/5 for progression from EP to this LP.r4/5 for musicianship and orchestration of instruments.
