Black Light Burns The Moment You Realize You're Going To Fall
This album is a fckn masterpiece through and through. Picking up a favorite track (aside from the final interlude) is mission impossible. Song structures are constaintly multi-layerd with so many influences at once. Mixing is top-tier, letting all the instruments to shine the brightest, not to mention how diverse they are. Borland's vocals shifts different moods like it's nothing and presents incredible dynamics. Lyrics are jam-packed with classy goth metaphors and all sorts of moving emotions. Leaving stupid Limp Bizkit was the best decision in Wes Borland's life. No wonder they took their time to produce it. I wish more rock records sounded like this.

This man is the most tragic person to walk the Earth, but his music makes up for it. Was very pleased to here "I want to be alone" in Daft Punk's Electroma (such a subtle use of it btw). I also recommend to check out music video for CHROMATICS cover for it - all-round brilliant enhancment. Nothing but praise for the album though. During my low points of life his songs were my saving grace. Can be gut-wrenchingly melancholic, can be playfully charming, philosophical or nostalgic. I can savely say that this is the heart of folk music.

"Already feels like a century-old classic. It's like science exhaling heart. Deeply tragic emotions of inner crisis and unfortunate love affair expressed on an astrological level with clever touch of quantum physics symbolism in-between. Blows you away with it's surgically dramatic synths, vocals more piercing than death and poetry larger than air. The last time i was touched by such an emotional crescendo was when I listened to Portishead. Can't freeze anymore..." - "stolen" from my bandcamp.

Nine Inch Nails The Downward Spiral
This record is basically a wage-free therapist. Despite it's blunt, ill-natured vulgarity it really forces you to look around. And i LOVE so many unconventional creative choices in-here starting from samples of a man hitting punching bag, which then smoothly transitions into drum-machine punches instead of the real ones, sounds of the protagonist sniffing cocaine through a straw as he continues to fall apart or the ICONIC hearbeat drum in Closer. Each track is exceptional with only "Big Man with a Gun" being just conceptional for the album's sake. Non-linear song sctructers are mesmerizing to the point that inner musician in your is jealous. Might be the greatest album of all time. I am deadly serious about that. 10 marching pigs out of 10.

3TEETH shutdown.exe
"A serious mile-step after at times abstract debut. Mincolla brought the best of his mind abilities to write ubelivably multibranched lyrics delving into cyberpunk, religion, esoterics & authoritarian rust - covering it all in metaphysical symbolism. Sound-enginiring is S. Kubrick levels of perfection. Sometimes it can be Ministry's rawness, FLA's danse macabre futurism, KMFDM satire & even full-blown cyber-death metal on Slavegod. Comets hit the Earth more rarely than music albums of such." - "stolen" from my bandcamp.
3TEETH and Ho99o9 Lights Out
"At 1st i was worried that collaboration with a rapper could not suit 3TEETH, but Ho99o9 complemets them so perfectly in-here. Lights Out retains that heavy industrial post-processing & rap recitative adds an extra layer to the verse. Suddenly 2nd track went full punk; vocal style of the latter performer even resembles Refused. The anti-establishment lyrics is so good that it makes me overthrow my own country with that 3TEETHxHo99o9 collector's bandana?. This is not my time, but certainly theirs." - "stolen" from my bandcamp.

Amon Tobin Supermodified
Amon Tobin Out From Out Where
"Amon Tobin is an alchemist of sound. This man is a genre by himself. And this is, possibly, his most well-composed classic album. It's intentional distortions of harmony are much more smooth than in Supermodified which had such an eclectic DJ resampling at times, that it felt like kitten playing with a laser dot. Aside from the Tobin-esque Verbal the whole LP feels as consistent as a waterfall. Though for me it lacks a plethora of more distinct tracks like Deo, Slowly or 4 Ton Mantis". - "stolen" from my bandcamp.

Sorely underrated release. With this album it feels like a whole other band - in a good sense. Many people overrate "Burn Out At The Hydrogen Bar" despite it being very good, but the 3 chorus structions on top of simple riffs were tiresome. Demos from that album clearly indicated that the band wanted to write more electronic-focused industrial with a cyberpunk feel, while preserving the same rock n' roll playfulness mostly via lyrics which is evident here starting from the cover art. What i like the most about this one is each track trying something distinctly alternative from heavily electrified guitars on the openere to electro-funk on top of industrial, then more electronic shades with prodigy'esque dynamics. They even incorporated (quite successfully too) a couple of atmosphere-laden, avant-garde tracks with spoken world type of lyrics, with a drip of trip-hop too. Speaking of lyrics, it requires you to read between the lines to fully appreciate how actually thought-provoking it can be (Jesus Christ Porn Star will leave in your head rent-free for a long while if you dig it) - such a crazy mix of nihilistic surrealism and schizo cyberpunk as if Chemlab were their recording studio rather than the band's name. Overall this still sounds fresh, unique and interesting throughout. Ironically it main drawback is what made "Burnout at the Hydrogen Bar" to stand out so much - straight counterculture anthems with quirky ecsentrism. 1999 remaster is lame, but comes with 3 remixes.

Dawn Of Ashes Scars of the Broken
"Another powerful experiment by DOA. This is a unique sample of psychological, blackened industrial metal born out of heart-felt breakups & PTSDs with screaming pain. Rings a church number of bells in one's darkest experience. It's all applicaply structured like Divine Comedy placing your emotions on a swing set until your either stop or endure. Electronics delicatly enhances metal & mid-song bridges let the drama sink in. This LP is a proper interlocutor in a city which sleeps." - "stolen" from my bandcamp.
Dawn Of Ashes The Crypt Injection II
"This beast feels like as if Nergal from Behemoth drank MONSTER energy. Not only does it combines DOA's hellektro roots with industrial post-effects & extreme metal, it also uses some of the sexiest DJ'ish mixing in vein of techno-breakcore to make the most out of awe-inspiring hate anthems capable of making you think. On top of that it comes with lots of remixes as if my marathons with it weren't obsessed enough. Needs more riffs & less runtime, but i can NON SERVIAM to this all night long!" - "stolen" from my bandcamp.

"The lord of lard, porcine libertine & our shotgun messiah has unsurprisingly not surprised with his new offering. Essentially, it has all of his modern production tropes: Gospel's electro-reliance, Risen's glam industrial-galore, use of new languages from the recent EP - you name it. But this time the interplay between riffs, post-effects & dominant synths pitchshifts the album to an air-tight, yet more skillful sound, placing front & center most tasty pork with Limbo's borlesque-noir garnish." - "stolen" from my bandcamp.

"A dichotomy between P9's aggresive & melancholic sides with lush modern production. I can even smell Not My God influence. Devastating as a neighbor's drill guitar riffs accompanied by burning alive Nero Bellum will cut you without a knife whilst deep bass echoes like a heart beat. The other parts are brooding & dramatic similar to cinematic score approach, Nero even sounds human the most in-here. Mixing- & storytelling-wise it's a master class of psychological horror in some instances." - "stolen" from my bandcamp.

RITUAL AESTHETIC WOUND GARDEN
"This release is a gem of hidden gems jam-packed in loud & proud slickness with actual industrial noises on some tracks instead of their lousy resembling effects. Samples, guitars & drums are synced in driving rhythms leaving enough room to breath, synths also adds more diversity. Lyrics are thought-shaping. Hellektro-tinged vocals works as a real powerhouse in-here. And these remixes are more pleasantly surprising than a negative pregnancy test. Recommend to any riverthead in a heartbeat.". - "stolen" from my bandcamp.
RITUAL AESTHETIC DECOLLECT
"Terrifying, merciless & gut-wrenchingly haunting industrial metal which smothers everyone equally till hell freezes over. It's searing nihilism is tuned to perfection with vocals switching between death metal growls & black metal roars. Antithesis-filled metaphors leaves smth to interpret upon. Meat grinding percussion melts into power noise electronics wtih a dash of an eerie-grimmy aggrotech. Metal even takes a backseat for trip-hop. Rest-assured, these guys are Prometheus of the genre revival." - "stolen" from my bandcamp.

"This is one of the most creative action scores i've ever listened & the reason why i have hundreds of hours in my total playtime. Due to the game being a horde shooter the tracks are specifically constructed to escalate tension, reflecting a feeling of a sneaky heist intervened by an upcoming police siege. Action phase will make your blood pump in every vein with it's intricate mix of an alternative rock, EDM & drum n' bass. Some of the extra material was released in FLAC via DLC for the game". - "stolen" from my bandcamp.

SKYND Chapter II
"SKYNDicate continues to sow terror in the hearts of their listeners, but this time with gothic ballads aesthetics rather than a dancefloor feel from the likes of T. Hadley. J. Jones is grandiose, yet psychologically creepy tale which telegraphs the cult propaganda in style of dark gospel with arena rock meets horror ambient type of sound. K.Knight also improves upon the latter placing you into the twisted headspace of the culprit. Pity, they forgot their bandcamp password to release chapter III". - "stolen" from my bandcamp.
SKYND Chapter I
"They say that understanding what drives evil requires you to walk in it's shoes. While many artists in hellektro style have already portrayed thoughts of a serial killer/demonic entity, SKYND's vocals are not that harshly processed to make her voice too specific to enjoy. She also describes only the real case files in disturbingly authentic details, mixing it in a dark pop blender with witch house, trap & industrial, so it's all suitable for dances in blood even beyond hellektro afficionados". - "stolen" from my bandcamp.

"Everything 3TEETH touches turns into swiss franks, it's especially evident for me since their debut can seem like a drafty dichotamy of minimalistic lyrics & repetative choruses. Most bands couldn't get away with this trick, but here it's really pays off. From the 1st note you will be hooked by totalitarian-like vocals of Alexis Mincolla, his uncompromising counterculture messages in tandem with painstakingly crafted sound of 90's industrial rock in endlessly groovy rhythm-sections." - "stolen" from my bandcamp.

Chiasm Reset
"I can't get enough of this album. It's an interlaced mix of danse macabre with melancholy,
which creates constantly fresh sound dichotomy between industrial and IDM. It also
introduces some of the strongest vocals by Emileigh and a top-tier audio mastering with good
dynamic range. The LP starts off with a banger to leave you with a bowl of thoughts
afterwards. Some of this album's social worries feels like COVID fears making it's
foreshadowing a lot more weighty." - "stolen" from my bandcamp.

Chiasm Relapse
Chiasm And John Fryer Missed The Noise
"With famous John Fryer accompanying Emileigh this turns out to be her most multilayered LP yet. It's best you process it through multiple listenings. The sound combines various types of moods, going back n' forth with experiments (it even has back vocals by John and electro guitar at some point). From time to time (especially with each step closer to an end) it abandons EBM in favor of more tragic IDM. It's pretty uncommon even for Chiasm, but helps to forget about her.., - not Chiasm of course." - "stolen" from my bandcamp.

This album feels like an EP due to ascetism of some songs, but it's heights makes up for it. It's crystal clear that MM polished their industrial techno to such a shine that it will make you blind - thick, military grade stomping bass with catchy rhytms ripping off dancefloor wallpapers. Synth accompaniment is always unique & interesting. Lyrics are more insightful than any diagnosis - it puts a mirror in front of my soul. And the whole LP is graced by bittersweet, Portishead'esque piano finale.

"Even more experimental follow-up to the debut. Electronics on modular synthesizer by Nero Bellum isn't about industrial now, it's less restrained - with uber cool distortions in style of Glitch. Atrum artifex also added sick hip-hop beats - tailor-made for vampire night club. Skold's vocals force you to worship with their improved infernality. Alchemy coupled with spiritualism has almost replaced demons. I am satisfied, but prefer NMG, it's more complex theme-wise & as cold as my obsidian heart". - "stolen" from my bandcamp.

Simon Viklund Payday: Original Soundtrack
"The soundtrack for the original Payday videogame is more akin to 90's crime movies. "Gun Metal Grey" is a clear example of that, because it's mimics that metronome type of electronic bits from the movie "Heat". Overall it's great nostalgic infusion of rock in thriller-coated dynamics - an action texture best suited for the repetitive, yet addicting nature gameplay-wise of Payday: The Heist, as if blockbuster music was your ambient". - "stolen" from my bandcamp.
Skinny Puppy Weapon
Skold Dead God
"Potius sero quam nunquam! Finally i can disrupt the orderly routine of the instituituon with a license. It's a passionately composed punk album with right balance between enganging guitar & percussion plus neat electronic post-effects - not primitive, nor overloaded. A tad edgy, but surely warms each simple man's heart with sincere christian-hurty philosophy capable of getting under your skin once a healthy dose of provocation transitions into thought-provoking nihilism. In my top 3 by SKOLD." - "stolen" from my bandcamp.
Skold Never Is Now
"Cool as a dinosaur album keeping up with it's ambitious tracklist. Tim & Co utilized their sophisticated electronic post-processing by even making EACH drum sound like a tight beat. Guitar parts are oozing with OOMPH, not to mention a handful of catchy industrial effects (sadly, few of them). Synths & percussion also pulls over the blanket at times, syncing with the riffs in crushing harmony. My only issue is lyrics being too infantile sometimes, thou' it's still bad@ss.rM-O-U-S-E M-U-S-T DIE!" - "stolen" from my bandcamp.
Skold Dies Irae
"Dies Irae marks the point when Skold truly matured. Playful rock n' roll songs only stab you with provocation this time. He also fully embraced his gothic punk aura showcasing the same anarhistic aplomb. It all led to this drum-tight album unreveling texts with symbolic fatalism, horror'esque post-effects & unpedictable synths which are flirting with his most serious, at times even heavy metal type of rock strengtened up by very skillful guitar solos. The song-writting is front to back strong." - "stolen" from my bandcamp.

Lots of mesmerizing creative decisions, especially remember the sounds of flashbulbs in Day 63, Sunset. Very captivating drone-esque electronic ambience. 3TEETH Metawar
Not enough love for Altaer or Blackout - a quintesential couple of industrial anthems, Lex's vocals are on another level of grandiose drama on these ones. Lyrics can be slightly over the top, but 3TEETH continued to speak the hard truths, felt many songs to my gut. Some tracks do gain good advantage of that guitar driven sound, especially AFFLUENZA, which is a very strong start to an album plus the whole cyberpunk atmosphere is top-notch, but yeah, after a while you can't shake the feeling that even collabs with Ho99o9 are better suited for 3TEETH's sound than such nu metal-induced approach. Nevertheless, this LP has some redeeming qualities about it and still an essential listen for any thinking man. I also highly recommend Matt Hart's remix of American Landfill, which is free on bandcamp - pure industrial-coated EBM brilliance.

Bile Pot Farmer vol.2
This album is a birthday cake dancer of this year. Out of nowhere... Industrial
thrash metal played by possessed decepticons - repetative, but not sluggish. Lyrics are pure
acid nonsense, including the title itself; contrary to the previous album, it's inconsistent
and blurs into conceptual minimalism too much at times, but stupidly entertaining all the
way nonetheless. Some tracks comes with glorious horns from Taxi Driver soundtrack, a couple
of them builds up almost ambient-laden cyberpunk vision, some even feels like sleazy
psychodelic rock as if it's performed by **cked up Daft Punk.
Bile The Copy Machine
Black Plastic Club Grotesque
"Fascinating album with various genres scattered around the corners. It starts off as
techno-EBM'ish darkwave perfomed by a nihilist in a club ("your god is dead - in cash we
trust") to then overshadow your expectations with a psytrance-sounding cyberggedon?!
Regardless of the inconsistency, it's minimalism grows on you. Kevin Grady's demonicly
robotic vocals critises hedonistic society with passive-agressive elegance whilist the
dreamlike middle foreshadows a surreal demise." - "stolen" from my bandcamp.

KMFDM Hyena
"One of the lowest points in their entire career" - Were you, guys, expecting Bohemian
Rhapsody or smth?! Yes, it lacks pissed-off energy of PARADISE, innovation of WTF?! and, of
all things, WWIII, but is a throughly enjoyble listen not being dragged by any
monotomy. Moreover, it constantly tries to spice things up with it's sound - many modern
KMFDM albums severely needed it. Yes, it strives from industrial too much (come on,
KMFDM have been doing that on 85 % of their LPs), but, most of all, it presents strong song-
writing diversity with punchy mastering, albeit by rehearshing certain ideas from Nihil,
Adios, Symbols & even UAIOE. Lyrics are still englufed with sharp-wit counterculture.
Current guitarist unleashes sonic powerhouse, he can play in different styles depening on a
song. Some tracks symbolically reflects the HYENA title with vaudeville aesthetics. Genre-
juggling is insane. From funky hip-hop & 80's punk to electro-industrial & DUB. The main
downfall of this album is reusing the same tried-tasted tropes of these various genres, not
to mention that most of them have already been explored on the afformentioned releases. IN
DUB WE TRUST, for example, is basically a DUB version of Trust from Nihil. The title track
is reminiscent to the Symbols song-writing. Reggae/Dub-alike overtones are from UAIOE and
Adios. Even the starting sample was taken from Skold Vs KMFDM.

"It's not the 1st time Daniel Ash reimagined his past music endeavors. He quite expertly used contemporary electronics, Stripped was my favorite example of that. But Poptone teleports you right into his sound roots for nostalgic euforia. So mesmerizing to hear these dearest to my ear songs being neatly enhanced & performed by new team, incl. David Haskin's daughter. Studio version of Slice of Life is a great surprise, since Ash performed it under Tones On Tail umbrella only live in 1984." - "stolen" from my bandcamp.

There are some good tracks on this one, but unfortunately the official release is severely

"Mostly it's unintrusive like ambient EBM with some industrial effects here & there akin to
the first Front Line Assembly albums. Psychic health crippling movie/crime documentary
samples alongside with horrifying maniac insights will remind you of the band's name -
perfect music for stalking someone in Detroit. Thou' the last track is overly long rhythmic
noise. Savagly brilliant Der Mussolini cover & Slasher are out of place for the rest of the

Minuit Machine Basic Needs
Solid EP, but less interesting than the previous one in so many ways. "Don't Run From The Fire" had striking thoughts - it helps you to accept yourself via pretty effective blend of punchy EBM with distinct vocal messages. This one just plays it safe, not trying hard enough to resonate with you through deep worries or high octane danse macabre tunes (it's rhythm is casual for dark clubbing if compared to DRFTF; melodies lacks extra weight).

"Sally Jrgensen has the right head on top of her shoulders. Her music clips are some of the most effective DIY i've ever seen. At first this album seemed too homogeneous to me due to overreliance on drum machines, but they actually help to reinforce the meaningful lyrics this way. Texts are interplayed with thoughtful messages in need of repetition to sink in, though at times they are too minimalistic. Nevertheless, it's a very charming everyday melancholy, strongly mimicking 80's production." - "stolen" from my bandcamp.

Jyrki 69 American Vampire
"Aside from Last Dance in collaboration with Not My God the whole album seems too safe & stale for me. I think Jyrki is not willing to go beyond a naked concept for each song. He is amazing as a gothic vocalist thou', but i digress. Despite this track being a draft too with somewhat nonsensical lyrics & abrubt ending NMG are using their SIMULACRA tools to, once again, synthesize that atmospheric EBM with methodical synths, making it sinister with otherworldly glitch effects. Plus Skold's doomed voice adds up for death fetishism." - "stolen" from my bandcamp.

Kavinsky Reborn
I agree with unlog1c, eventhough his mark is harsh. The production overall makes it's a competent album - no doubt, but it doesn't saves it from being annoying to get through. Even the solid material suffers from poorely thought-out runtime or the lack of composing complexity. Most of the worthy tracks are in the 2nd half, and "most" is a strong world in that case - just about 2 or 3 of them. The dream pop sound is too dull. What's mind-buggling is the satirical context of it on some occasions which is still ruined by that all-over-the-place approach. Seems like this album can't decide whether it's trying to be synthwave, glam rock or true to the 80's synth-pop at once. So many collaborations with other artists are making this creative disonnance worse. Besides, there's almost no story with immersive rsamples, which were supposed to soak you into Kavinsky's lyrical hero. The only thing that saves it somewhat for me is Zenith. That track is a nuclear bomb. Outstanding interplay between female vocals on top of male's while being both processed through a vocoder, with an engrossing sythwave rhytm-section, touching poetry about death of nostalgia (as i see it) and a classy saxophone to to strengthen the style. Why the whole album can't reach such height?!

When Robby Krieger, the band's guitar player, took the wheel - because Jim Morrison was too drunk, i guess - they went all-out commercial with this one. Aside from 2 Jim's songs like "The Soft Parade" (the best song by The Doors btw) or "Shaman's Blues" the whole thing isn't bad, but just so forgettable, like an ordinary Phil Collins LP.
