My second Opeth album and my favourite album of all time, this album has a perfect blend of beauty and passion that shines blindingly though Face of Melinda and Benighted as well as brutality and dark, damning riffs as showcased in Godhead's Lament and The Moor. Personally I adore every single track on this timeless album and still feel my self smile when Opeth's signature interludes of pure beauty come into play. Mikael's mind-blowing vocal performances are plentiful and the solos are all very well placed, not to mention the concept songwriting which paints pictures so perfectly in your head of the protagonist's struggle for Melinda. Still Life completely gripped me, and will be an album which I will certainly never forget.4.5 superbDark Tranquillity The GalleryExtol UndeceivedOpeth MorningriseOpeth My Arms, Your HearseOpeth LamentationsPersefone Core4.0 excellentAlexisonfire AlexisonfireAlexisonfire Watch Out!Alexisonfire CrisisCynic FocusCynic Traced in AirOpeth OrchidOpeth Blackwater ParkOpeth DeliveranceOpeth DamnationOpeth Watershed3.5 greatOpeth Ghost Reveries3.0 goodBetween the Buried and Me The Silent Circus1.5 very poorOpeth HeritageI don't think my heart has ever descended so drastically in bitter disappointment and anger as it did upon hearing this album.Protest the Hero Scurrilous1.0 awfulFugees The Score
