this is an extremely good EP, especially as it only clocks in at 3 tracks and costs very
little to download. Concealing Fate Part 1 is the centrepiece and is a teaser for their
album to come; CFP1 is also a masterpiece of progressive djent.

Jaga Jazzist Live With Britten Sinfonia
For those wondering what Jaga Jazzist have been up to over the past few years, this live LP is the answer. Each of the tracks present here have been carefully arranged and orchestrated by Lars Horntveth, greatly enhancing sonic textures and at times creating an entire overture. This is true for opener 'One Armed Bandit', which is extended to include a symphonic intro and longer jam sequences which both bring much-needed elegance and drama to a sometimes self-indulgent original. A highlight of the album has to be 'Prungen', with the orchestra doubling the horns for the main theme. Excellent stuff

benn tries quite a midbass dubsteppy vibe, blending it with his velvety IDM sound to mixed
results. some tracks try to merge it with a chill loungey feel which grates rather than
progresses. that outro track really is lovely though, with some expertly programmed drums.

1. Only Death Metal vocals can be described as cookie monster, not Matt's screaming. 2. Forever and Always is NOT classic metal or anywhere near it, it's just an emo-ey core whineathon. 3. All of the Poison was garbage, and only the middle of Tears Don't Fall is passable.
